You guys need to wake up and listen to the music on this album. Noel is correct and saying this is the closest thing to Revolver anyone has ever made. He is not talking out his ass No filler songs No Digsy's Dinner or Married with Children No crap instramentals DBTT Be Here Now Def Maybe Morning Glory HC SOTSG Its about rock n roll. you are wrong DBTT isn't rock n roll it's good but it's not rock n roll, oasis has changed and they are out of their element on this one. It's not that the album is bad, but it aint close to being rock n roll. Meaning of soul:filler every other song is just average, their aint any standouts that have blown me away...i am so disappointed in this album that there's maybe 3 rockers and they're all shit. Eyeball tickler outclasses everything on this album in terms of being rock in my mind

9 or 10 songs on this album stand out. Meaning of Soul is not a filler, it's a big slap in the fact.
Eyeball Tickler is a nice song but it's just too repetitive. It's just the same thing over and over again.

i am so disappointed that the new album is lacking the guitar sound that is oasis. DBTT is very weak, the songs are too acoustic driven. I'll take my hindu times, LBL, born on a diff cloud and hung in a bad place over the lame electric songs like lyla and a bell will ring. I am very dissappointed in this album. So far i think eyeball tickler is the best thing they have released and it's a b-side..... Man, they have moved on, get the fuck over it! Would you really want them to keep remaking the same record over and over again? Fans wonder why Oasis get slagged in the press and by the public, it is BECAUSE for so long they refused to try anything different. Be happy that they are stretching themselves at last.

Oasis have done enough rock n' roll and it turned out be not so succesfull anymore. Let's pass on to new terrains to explore. I haven't heard annything yet, but the best songs of the last year 3/4, weren't rock songs. Songbird, SCYHO, Born On A Different Cloud and Shout It Loud aren't rockers. Better Man is the last great rock track they made. Hung In A Bad Place is nice, but I heard it all before. So they went further and found a new sound, that hopefully atract more 'new' fans. They had to change, in order to excist.

Eyeball tickler is the only tue rocker on this wave of songs. Listen to DM, that's the gold standard of oasis and they're all rockers barring MWC, and i know they have changed but if i want to hear oasis i want rock n roll plain and simple. If i want to hear the mediocrity of DBTT I'll put on Jet. One thing that is good about the album are the lyrics, i think they are great....just the songs man, they need some amp and throw away the acoustics. The album leaves me thinkin: what if they made the songs more rockin? they aint bad songs, i just dont think they're done right and that;s why im so disappointed. It's a good album, just not all it can be.

you fuckin nailed it on the head there - good lyrics, shite music in the majority of them It's fuckin sardy man...he wanted to go make a beatles album or somthing I don't know but its not the sound of oasis. I think noel will slag off this album soon enough after the tour ends and they get a new record deal before they start on number 7. You can kinda tell he aint keen on it except for his songs(TIOBI, POTQ) which of course he just loves Our only hope is that when they tour these new songs they more than likely will not pull of fuckin acoustics for 8 songs. Guranteed these songs are better live.

i have nothing more to say about it - in my opinon they wasted the last 3 years. I respect your opinion m8 but there is no way in hell they've wasted the last 3 years this album gets better and better with every listen, I think tracks like: Love like a bomb POTQ TIOBI Guess god thinks im abel(best tune on the album) A bell will ring Are all massive statements in what oasis want to be not what they've been and the rest of the tracks are pure classic oasis. This will go down as a classic(it already is to me i love it with a passion) And if they just played the whole album and nothing else at the gigs id be more than happy, just check noel's acoustic set at glasgow barrowlands its mind blowing(a testament to how good the more acousticy tracks can be), everyone singing along which i will be come the summer "I sold my soul for the second time cos....." and so on. Brilliant album, brilliant band. cheers doggboy

i dont hate it - i just think the songs are all substandard, nowhere near what oasis can acheive,i actually think that potq and tiobi are rubbish, ltbl should be on a bside - the only songs i actually like are lyla,a bell will ring and turn up the sun(only slightly), on a whole the lyrics on the album are good, but for me the majority of the tunes are not. now i gave this album to a girl who live near me who has seen oasis over 20 times, and absolutely loves them, and after 4 days of constant listening, she brought it back and said, if thats the direction they are going, then she'll not even bother buying the new album. so i think this album has divided the oasis fanbase, and only time will tell. believe it or not,i am not even looking forward to hearing the live versions of these songs in the summer

You know, I'm curious if I'm the only one around, but I think SOTSOG was their strongest effort to date.
1. SOTSOG 2. (WTS?)MG 3. DM 4. HC 5. BHN
I've not heard the entirety of DBTT, so I really can't rank it yet. But I think that SOTSOG is the best example of a band at a turning point in history. Gas Panic! always amazes me- it's Noel's most vulnerable lyric yet. Little James comes off as trite, but it was what Liam needed to get started as a songwriter. And the supposed weak links like "Put Yer Money..."- I find it curious how people can slag that song off, yet love "Mucky Fingers". I never viewed it as weak- simply Oasis' take on AC/DC. Fuckin' in the Bushes is one of the greatest album openers ever (second only to Rock 'n Roll Star). All in all, it's the only Oasis album that I don't get worn out listening to. I love every album of theirs more than anything else in my collection, but you can only listen to DM so many times before you start getting burned out on it. Give the band some credit- SOTSOG WAS in fact a great effort.

In my opinion you went to far mate, well its your choice and i respect it, but SOTSOG for me is an album to keep oasis together, it has gr8 tunes on it, i cant said it doesnt, but please go track by track and compare it to DM perhaps, or MG. Some of the songs are not as good. My fav. SOTSOG track is Roll it over,, wow that one makes it for me. It just has so much mix up feelings, and its a track that you find something new every listen.

HC doens't get much credit, its a solid album i suppose, my favorite is BHN because it was my first oasis album. can't say to much about DBTT yet, SOTSOG is the last because the atmosphere on that album is bad. the negative songs. i dont want to hear lyrics like where did it all go wrong. i wanna hear positive lyrics, otherwise i'll listen to radiohead

Measuring on music alone there's only one contender.....Definitely Maybe
DBTT comes second in terms of songs(yes ahead of Morning Glory), but on cultural terms WTSMG is deffo second.
BHN is boring SOTSOG suffers from poor production and some awful songs (I Can See A Liar and Little James) HC is just pure shite. Shite songs and shite production.
Whilst I think he's a solid bloke, I can't agree with Don. DBTT is the best Oasis album for AGES. A real breath of fresh air - wonderful melodies, wonderful production, some great singing, and held wonderfully welcome 'spirit' back in the band

I think DBTT is the best of the last three albuns, better than SOTSOG and HC, but i don't think it's better than any one of the first ones... I mean there really good songs in the latest albuns but none like Supersonic, Slide Away, Wonderwall Champagne Supernova, D'you Know What I mean and Stand By Me... those are classics that unfortunately the band was not able to match...

Not easy for me to say because I was blinded in the 90's by those first three albums:
1 - DM 2 - BHN 3 - MG 4 - DBTT 5 - SOTSOG 6 - HC
But lately been listening to DBTT all the time
