In all honesty, I think a big reason Oasis lost alot of popularity in North America was horrible advertising from Sony. When SCYHO came out, everyone i showed it to either had heard it and loved it or said they loved it from one listen (one of my friends actually had tears)....yet HC was never adveritsed here (I'm in Canada) and they soild a gigantic 144,000 copies in the U.S....about a 30th of Morning Glory.....now until I looked on the internet, I hadn't seen an Oasis video since All Around The World. Today I turned on Much More Music and Lyla was #1 on the countdown....I also noticed places like HMV were actually advertisng DBTT. Now while I think Lyla's a great tune, I think SCYHO was sensational....and everyuone had heard it...but nobody knew it was Oasis.... Now that they're getting some advertising here, everyone I know is planning on getting the album the day it comes out.... so while I think acheiving Wonderwall status is nearly impossible, with some proper adveritising from Sony LTBL could easily propel them into mainstream again..... they have the fans....they sold out Madison Square Gardens a minute faster than U2 did.....now all they need is some proper advertising to gat what I think may be there best album out to the fans... the same exact thing happened with me with SCYHO... every single person i played it to loved it so much. alota those people where younger than me and didn't like any previous oasis stuff that was popular like wonderwall and champagne supernova or never even heard of them, but still loved the song so much. noel said at that time that i had the potential to become a huge international hit like wonderwall was and i think he was right... the only difference was that wonderwall was promoted here while SCYHO wasn't... it was a major missed oppurtunity to become big here again if you ask me.

how can you not like let there be love? I'm not a big fan of LTBL either. To me it's just bit too slow and sounds like it missing something. I listen and keep waiting for something to happen, but it leaves a sort of empty feeling. Like it's half done or something. I know alot people are raving about it, and I certainly respect their opinions. But I haven't been blown away by it. I'd like to hear what they do to it live, however.
