Great news! I like the idea of a big, expirimental album. Call me crazy, but I dig SotSoG. It definitely has it's moments of brilliance (Fuckin' In The Bushes, Go Let It Out, and Gas Panic! come to mind) and with Oasis in less turmoil and chaos it should turn out to be brilliant.

This is great news for sure... but I wouldn't start counting down the days til its release just yet lol... The boys tend to meander a bit when it comes to recording and releasing a new album... And with Noel's having a baby(well not noel, but you know what i mean), and the fact that Oasis are without a record contract and maybe even without a drummer, the finished product is probably a bit in the distance at this point...
I don't really care if they go for a ''bigger'' sound on this one, I just hope that a few belting anthems come out of the sessions... tunes that will make 50 000 people jump up and down like idiots...

Noel said at the Brits that Dave Sardy is producing this newest album. I didn't really mind the production on the last album...didn't stand out, but still wasn't bad. Although I do hope this album is more acoustic/progressive as opposed to DBTT which is more straight ahead rock and roll.

You're the one who a few months back, without any evidence, said that Oasis were finished. Would never make another album again. You lost all credibility, mate. Stop speculating! Noel apparently said that he will be starting work on the next album in July. End of. If all things GO SMOOTHLY, we'll have an album in early 2008. And that fits the pattern MG (2 years wait) BHN (1 year wait) SOTSOG (3 years) HC (2 years) DBTT (3 years) NEXT ALBUM (3 years if in 2008) 2-3 years seems to be the norm for Oasis. 2008 it is then.

What Brilliant Brilliant Brilliant Brilliant News- I have been an oasis since the very beggining and was blown away by DM. I have been thinking when is their next album coming out and for the past week been listening to my own oasis Greatest Hits 2 CD set. As the official one is rubbish (well its relative but how could it leave off Whatever, Its Good To Be Free, Listen Up, Stand By Me even) .
Lest hope this one has a great big no holds barred MASSIVE production to fill stadiums with. I agree with Noel they have proven they are great musicians now give us what you and we always wanted-That Huge all conquering mighty oasis sound.
The last one showed a lot of promise and This one I'm looking forward to.
PS this is my greates hits I can't stop listening to on the way to work sort of random chronological selection but it seems to flow so well .
Live Forever Supersonic Whatever It's Good To Be Free Listen Up Half The World Away Wonderwall Talk Tonight The Masterplan Cast No Shadow Don't Look Back In Anger Round Our way Stand By Me
Going Nowhere Don't Go Away Gas Panic Little By Little Stop Crying Your Heart Out Rocking Chair Let There Be Love Keep the Dream Alive A Bell Will Ring Importance of Being Idol

They need to stop being so "careful" when making albums, and just let go and make a crazy album. It feels as if after Be Here Now, Noel is too worried about doing things carefully, and not going over the top. Can't wait for the next one!

I guess so. Noel pulled out of the Glasto performance with Kasabian to meet with Sardy.
