Roll it Over
Definitely one of my favorite Oasis songs. Great album closer. Shame it was never sung live!

I HOPE I THINK I KNOW - One of the few songs on that album that doesn't overstay it's welcome. Fast paced, in-your-face, "break free" type music. The "We've gotta get out of this town" feel of a Bruce Springsteen song with the up tempo vigor of punk. It's fantastic. Liam really stretches his vocal range here too. AS LONG AS THEY'VE GOT CIGARETTES IN HELL - One of the best songs from that era, period. I know that Noel isn't one to put too much effort into songs (aside from melody and passable lyrics) but he stumbled upon some serious moods on this one. It's such a dark concept, an every-man's prayer. It's pretty much saying "Long as I've got me fags when I die, everything else can piss off" in the most gorgeous way possible. And then the coughing bit at the end!! Icing on the cake. Spend a song glorifying this viewpoint, and then put a little bit of self destructive venom at the end. Dark twist. Unintentional I'm sure, but I love it. BAG IT UP - Probably my favorite song on that entire album. Noel's best work in the latter half of Oasis was usually sung by himself, but this one is a prime example of "Noel Written (Liam Sung)". Great melody, great riffs, and that whole "freaks rising up through the floor" bit gives me chills every time. Again, once in a while Noel writes some lyrics that seriously compliment his melody. GUESS GOD THINKS IM ABEL - I am not a big Liam fan as far as songwriting goes. Little James and Songbird have their charms, especially Songbird, but everything else just seems so amateur and forced. I'm Outta Time is honestly more of a group effort than just Liam, so I have a hard time really complimenting him on that one. But this little tune that everyone seems to dismiss, what a great song! It does fall under all the same problems that most of Liam's songs do, but it works here. This is the kind of song I listen to when I'm driving home at 3AM on a cool summer night. Not the most brilliant song in their catalogue, but it deserves more credit than it has. Yep fair one, haven't listened to as long as they've got cigarettes in hell in years

Talk Tonight
Of course, everyone here knows that song but it seems so underrated. Since the first I heard it, I really really love it. That's one of my favourite Oasis song and it encapsules everything I love in Noel's songwriting: a great melancholy combined to an immense hope. One of my fav' b-side, top 3 I think. An underrated gem.

Bag It Up Roll It Over Keep the Dream Alive I Hope I Think I Know Part of the Queue
All of these are some of the most played Oasis songs on my iTunes. Dont really see them get much recognition amongst fans, though.

Headshrinker gets lost sometimes because of the overall quality on the masterplan and indeed the standard of songs on the single but good god play it loud and it's a hell of a song. Such a shame it only lasted one night on the Truth tour! Would have loved to have seen it live. Love it.

'Roll It Over' for sure. The guitar solo still gives me the chills. And you have to take into consideration that I've listened to it exactly 34576 times.
'Mucky Fingers' and 'Love Is Like a Bomb' from DBTT. Two songs that often get cow-dung thrown at them, but both are actually really good when you're in the right mood.
'Boneheads Bank Holiday'. For all it's worth it's got an AMAZING middle-eight.
'I Pick You Everytime'. Not technically an Oasis song, but who cares, it's Noel Gallagher right? It just gets to me. That I heard it the first time when I was in a spring mood might have something to do with the love for it.
'I Can See A Liar'. Not the album version, but the NPA one. My god. Everything's perfect. The hair, the voice, the solo. And the french audience.

Part of the Queue.
Such a technical song for a band known for its simplicity, and it sounds absolutely great, especially with the piano solo & how everything goes mad after the last run through the chorus. Really underrated song that Noel wrote, and I hope he considers it for his possible acoustic tour that's coming up soon.

Really underrated song that Noel wrote Noel, Hugh Cornwell & The Stranglers wrote, and I hope he considers it for his possible acoustic tour that's coming up soon. I know Noel takes "inspiration" on alot of songs like so many writers, but this was just far too close to Golden Brown by The Stranglers for me, the acoustic version especially shows it for me, though I do like Noel's lyrics in fairness
