Hey guys- Need help. I want an Ipod or some sort of player, but I also want it to have an FM player too.
any suggestions?
I don't think Ipods have FM.
Also want to be able to load Cds to it.
Help....
I am not so good with electronics.

has your old tape deck finally given out?  hmmm well if you want to go mainstream, then just go with an ipod i guess. You can buy an add on fm tuner i think. But there are other companies which make players that are just as good or even better (there are many that have better sound quality than ipods do). depends on how much you are willing to spend, and how much storage you want? |

the ipod doesnt have an fm tuner or any attachment for it currently. its the easiest to use and the best for syncing with a computer. you just plug it in and it goes-no problems at all. as well you use itunes with it. it'll play mp3, acc and wav files. if you have wma files, itunes will automatically convert them.
if you want more features and dont mind sacrificing beauty of the play, the irivers are really good. it has an am/fm tuner, direct audio recording (so you can plug it into your cd player and record the tracks if you dont want to use computer, no song titles though). they use windows media player to sync. they also use the new napster-to-go service where you pay $15 a month (US) and you download as much music as you like and put it onto your player. however, their interface isnt as good as the ipod.
if you're not really tech savy i'd suggest the ipod

The irivers thing seems like a good bet. Thanks. i will do some more research.
I don't care about fancy colors etc..I care about something that gives me everything I want.

I went with MP3P Creative|Zen Micro 5GB Silver.
Seemed to be the best bang for my buck.
Lets hope I like it!

looks like a good choice shadow
im just reading the amazon blurb on it - and i cant see one reason why someone would choose an ipod mini over this??
maybe someone can enlighten me!
this thing looks like every feature is an improvement on the ipod. i assume the ipod is another example of fashion and style over content?

Well, the iPod itself doesn't have an integrated AM/FM tuner, but you can bay Air Play, a little device you attach it to the iPod and there you go, I think it's 30 USD. Or if you don't have neither 30 or 60 GB in MP3 files on your PC then you can go for the Rio Carbon (6 GB), smaller then the palm of your hand.  |
