Was i alone in thinking that Liam was nervous at the beginning of Lyla?
It really didn't sound like him, his voice seems totally different and was too low at the chorus making Noel's backing vocals out.
Towards the end it was spot on but at the beginning he sounded really tired and nowhere near as firey as his voice normally is.
It was a great performance and the band were spot on but Liam's vocals didn't sound right at the beginning of the song.
what do you guys think?

pissed off? nah i just think that's his way. his voice wasn't right no, a top performance all in all but his voice wasn't as good as i expected it to be they don't get any younger mind!   |

I thought my generation was quality - agreed Lyla wasn't that good.
Liam was being a twat as usual.

yeah those pants were awful ???and i dont like the way noel has his mike lower nowadays to me it makes him look old,like how the fuckim pope looked speaking before he died,also did you hear liams voice go when he came back in for the people try to put us down bit after andys bass bars ouch |

I agree about Lyla and as somebody else said the volume needed crancking up a few notches but i thought it was a great performance of My Generation  guess that's the cover for the gigs then. btw, Liam, sort your gear out mate and get on the slim fast lol ;D. |

I've never been sure about Lyla and I think I know why now after seeing it live. It just isn't Oasis at all. To see Liam come in virtually on his own just wasn't right, and Liam didn't seem comfortable with it either. I dunno it just seemed weird.
The difference between that and My Generation was massive. I don't think Eyeball Tickler should have been on the album cos it doesn't fit, but that live would have been mental, and much better for Liam to come in on, the outro of Lyla was good mind.

they did pick it up for My Generation - it was awesome IMO.
I don't think there was much wrong with Noel's voice, just was a bit rusty at the start of Lyla.
