Different Sites are offering different dates, but it seems that on the 18th of September, or 2 weeks later the Killers new album will land. I personally can't wait, been i big big fan since i heard Mr.Brightside back in 2004 when Jo Whiley debuted it. In a strange way I hope it leaks and they have to bring it forword. I think the new single is fantastic and its really put me in the mood for the new stuff, they're a band that are often over looked by "Music Snobs" because of their popularity arcoss the board, from dancefloors to Ipods, I think that they sorted out their Live "situation" and could really now do big things. Tracklisting: 1. Sam's Town 2. Enterlude 3. When You Were Young 4. Bling 5. For Reasons Unknown 6. Read My Mind 7. Uncle Jonny 8. Bones 9. My List 10. This River Is Wild 11. Why Do I Keep Counting? 12. Exitlude Whats your take on the Las Vagas outfit and theyre coming material

[I think that they sorted out their Live "situation" and could really now do big things. Flowers has come a long way since their early days when it comes to his stage persona. I've read so many horrible reviews about them live (i.e, Brandon being likened to a dead fish on stage). I saw em live 3x last year and he was phenomenal. He did say that he 'studied' loads of David Bowie footage after he read all of those nasty reviews about him. Guess he really stepped up his game.

that woman looks like a bloke. Was thinking exactly the same thing. Cool album cover nonetheless and definately looking for a more raw album in the vein of their new single.

Their album cover looks like it was taken during the All the Things I've Done video shoot. Is that true?

Their album cover looks like it was taken during the All the Things I've Done video shoot. Is that true? I was thinkin that too...Hmmm...let me ask my sister since she's an even bigger Killers fan than me. BTW, there were listening parties in LA & NY in the past few weeks...This means that a bunch of record label people prolly already have copies of the CD...give it another week or 2 and we should have a full leak.

Absolutely loving When You Were Young right now I can't believe it was up and out 4 months in advance, they've got to push up that album release date
Either way, if the rest of the album has that kind of quality, the Killers will have a massive, massive year. Potentially, Oasis 10 years ago big

There was an earlier thread just titled 'The Killers' and I mentioned that 'When You Were Young' reminded me of Meatloaf.
So then I am reading a single review in Rolling Stone a few days later and it said it has 'a Meatloaf sound in parts'!!!
I should be a rock critic!!!

ahahaha what a difference 8 years makes. I vividly remember when this came out, I was super excited. Hot Fuss is still their best, in my humble opinion, but rock stars don't make albums like Sam's Town that much anymore. Props the Killers for embracing their Vegas ties and their ridiculousness. It has aged gracefully and its their second best record for sure. As an album experience its their best but Hot Fuss holds a special place in my heart.
People really thought when you were young was bad? It is glorious, not the best track on the album but a really awesome returning single. There really aren't any poor songs on Sam's Town. My List is a bit boring in places but it picks up. Bones is just about a perfect pop song and Read My Mind is lovely ballad. Sam's Town, When You Were Young, For Reason's Unknown, Uncle Jonny, The River Is Wild are some of their best rockers.
Hot Fuss - 9/10 Sam's Town - 8/10 Day & Age - 7/10 Battle Born - 4/10

Hot Fuss 8/10 Sam's Town 8.5/10 Day & Age 5/10 Battle Born 2/10
I still really like their first 2 albums, I still can't believe they turned so sh!t so quickly! Being a massive fan of Oasis and The Cure these lot should be a perfect fit for me but their past 2 albums and the solo album has properly turned me off, shame.
