I'm a fan of them but mostly just their singles. Though I will say "Outlandos d' Amour" is a damn good album.

regatta de blanc outlandos d'amour zenyatta mendatta ghost in the machine etc etc..
saw them in concert back in the day..
STEWART COPELAND - one of the best damn drummers in the biz ..
mia - as you may know taylor hawkins of the foos trained under him !

Stewart Copeland is arguably the coolest guy in music ever. Also did the soundtrack to the Spyro video games on the old PlayStation back when I grew up. Great great drummer too - better than your Keith Moons, Bonhams etc.
As for The Police, I like them but I can say I’m a fan. Got their ‘best of’ but even then I just listen to a handful of tunes. Every Breath You Take is a masterpiece to be honest.

One of my favourite bands, they are an unique band where their sound is instantly identifiable, mixing pop, rock and reggae, but the reggae element is there more to give the band a rhythm without overtaking their sound completely.
Sterwart Copeland was so good that sometimes the band allowed the sound of his drumming stood out above the others instruments.

Every Little Thing She Does Is Magic and Wrapped Around Your Finger are probably my two favorite Police tunes.

The number one song in the US on the Billboard charts on this very date in 1983 was offered up by The Police with “Every Breath You Take.”
God bless.

Listened to them in their early days and Outlandos d'amour still gets a whirl every now and then. The less "punky" they got, the less I enjoyed them. I was gone by the 3rd album.

I love The Police mainly because of their singles back in their day. I don't know what their stuff is like when they reformed though. They were huge here in the UK back in the late 70s and early 80s.
