Also I don't think they sound like the Beatles at all, these days I was wondering which Oasis song sounds a lot like the fab four, one that could have been in fact a Beatles song in sound and style, it was hard to think of one, the closest imo was She's Eletric, but even this one sounds more Kinks inspired, even if I can easily see Macca on piano singing it.

Yeah the 'Sex Beatles' term and comparisons to Slade were both very apt.

I feel The Beatles influence in Noel's songwriting can be heard pretty clearly. Off the top of my head 'Shakermaker', 'All Around the World', 'Setting Sun', 'Let Forever Be' and 'Go Let It Out' all show it off well.
