also, i cant agree with band members, a guy called dave wears a hat to cover baldness and bono, the guy who raves about world hunger and debt etc, shits himself to high heaven when his album gets lost and he might lose money

Have you seen the new i pod advert, what the fuck is all that about? why are u2 working for apple mac selling i pods?. Oasis arent as succesful in the states as u2 because oasis wernt prepared to go out and get fucked by all the music marketing people over there. So what oasis didnt crack the states?, at least they left the country with there pride, dignity and self respect still in tact. |

U2 is actually really boring to me.. they've tried to change on every album they've made but all they'll ever have is a couple of good overproduced songs. I find it hard to believe that people would look back in ten years time(or now) to the 80's and put U2 up there with the Smits, Echo & the Bunnymen and Stone Roses.

any kid who was 16 and in a band in those days and saw the clash live was inspired to try to look like them ,walk like them, pose like them and play like them.
fuck me, it was the clash, the greatest rock n roll band of all time ever!
i saw u2 playing total toilets when i was young, they were wankers but they had talent.
talent rises above the hyp bullshit that is around at the time.
u2 have some serious great songs under their belts.
20 years later they are still doing great songs and the edge rates london calling as the best album of all time!
now, go out and buy the 25th anniversary version of london calling pop kids.
it has a dvd you know!

U2's got some good songs. Some are really shite, some are really amazing. There's no mediocrity in it. I absolutely love With or Without You not because its a good song but it's got good lyrics and it's fookin emotional. Beautiful Day and Electrical Storm are damn nice too. I think I like 10% of their songs. And they're very good when they play live i have to admit. Even Liam thought so I read that once.

I agree MTF...Can't beat U2 live and i've seen both bands aswell. Noel said it himself, if uve got 3 oasis shows, 2 are going to be brilliant and 1 is gunna suck. Well with u2 they are always brilliant.. Id take oasis over u2 any day but live i think(and it is my opinion) u2 is a better live band
