50 CENT was dramatically booed off stage tonight at the CARLING WEEKEND: READING festival (August 29).
The rapper was pelted with a shower of plastic bottles from the angry crowd, and even had a camping chair thrown at him, forcing the star to walk off after just twenty five minutes of his Main Stage set.
50 and his G-Unit crew were hit by a rain of bottles as they came onstage, and they even started to pick up the missiles and hurl them back towards the front rows.
Chants of “50 Cent is a wanker” were heard and the group were jeered and heckled throughout the short appearance.
Attempting to placate the thousands of people, the rapper said: “We’re just all here to have fun”, and even taunted them by challenging them to all put their middle fingers in the air.
One festival goer told NME.COM: “What was he even doing up there? It was the worst thing I’ve ever seen.”<br>

and to think if that happened in america, al sharpton would 99.9% call every person who attended the festival racist. but of course that would never happen, as 50 cent and the former drug seller and pimp rappers are the biggest thing in america since boy bands.

How is he more of a dickhead than say Liam G?
Oh and before anyone says it, i dont like 50 Cent at all, i just hate shit like that at concerts. It ruins it for people that are there to see that act, im sure we wouldnt like if it 20'000 people went and booed Oasis off the stage.

Oasis got booed offstage at pinkpop 2000 here in holland. Allthough this gig was without noel, its still pathetic. I hate 50cent too, but i just cant be bothered to go listen to him and boo him. For oasis this resulted that they havent been here since 2000. And i doubt if theyll ever come back... |

Erm, its a MUSIC festival and whether you want to admit it or not Rap is MUSIC. So why the fúck shouldnt he be allowed to play? Didnt Eminem play a few festivals a few years ago? He didnt get booed off stage.
I fucking hate people like you, you just cant open your mind enough to realise that people like different music to you. Seriously, you need to grow up. People will like Rap, they will pay the same money that you pay to go to festivals and should be given the same chance to enjoy themselves that you get.
Wu Tang Clan were playing the Oxegen festival here in Ireland in July, sure people werent happy they were playing but nobody went and booed them off the stage. But maybe thats just the difference between proper music fans and the dickheads that go to reading and leeds.

Stockhausen and John Cage often push this definition to its limits, but that's what it is. And really, rock fans who are about hating other genres are just dickheads really. You really don't hear rap fans, or rappers for that matter bashing rock music, but rock seems to have an underlying vendetta against rap...really stupid and goes to show intolerance at its best. If you can name me an oasis song (or modern rock song), that you can dance to in a club, or is remotely danceable...I'll be very impressed. |

So why were Wu Tang able to come to Ireland, play their hour set and leave having left everyone happy? Oxegen is a rock festival yet they were able to play (As did Pink and the Black Eyed Peas) neither of which were booed off the stage.
Is it just the english dickheads that take it upon themselves to say what is good music and what isnt?
Did it ever cross your little mind that people like 50 Cent and wanted to see him and to be honest, its very very sad that the people who booed him decided to go out of their way to boo him instead of going to see one of the bands that were playing(since thats why they were there)
And i fuckin wish he would have pulled out a gun and started shooting at the twats that were booing him. No matter what you think of his music he doesnt deserve to be booed off stage

Lets be honest about it, chances are that 90-95% of the people booing were english. Just because of the sheer amount of people at the festival, 95% of them are going to be english.
And other nations seem to have respect for musicians, you dont hear of him being booed off stage at any other festivals? Very rarely happens
