It makes me sad that a thread on Wilco only has 600 views. Great band. Indeed. I've heard them a lot on the World Cafe and they're growing on me quite a bit. I think if anyone heard them, they would probably love, or at least like, what they have to offer. |

Excellent single. Can't wait for the album. Tweedy has been on fire the last 3-5 years. So much output. Turning 50 changed him. Or maybe sparked him to get more done. |

I avoided these guys for so many years! Honestly don't know why, and I am still kicking myself over it! Finally gave AM a listen two summers ago, and by the end of that week I had bought all of their albums...including hunting down Kicking Television and Alpha Mike Foxtrot. Still listen to AM almost weekly...

Singer has such a clean nice tone. Pavement, beatles, anyone? Nice to find different bands to listen to.

The album leaked yesterday. I've done 3 full listens. I'm kinda disappointed in the aspect that it sounds so similar to their previous album and Tweedy's two solo albums from 2018 and 2019. This almost sounds like a Tweedy solo album to be honest. Its very subtle. Less like a band playing. Hush vocals all the time which isn't a bad thing but more of his solo style. The album does have its highlights. "Love Is Everywhere (Beware)" and "Everyone Hides" are pure Wilco magic. Immediate singles material. The only real guitar freak out on the album is "We Were Lucky". Evokes memory of the bands playing on A Ghost Is Born. A very underrated album and period for the band.

That's a little disappointing, still gonna buy the album on Friday... I like some of Jeff Tweedy's solo stuff, but prefer full blast Wilco......too much talent in that band to try to hold it back.
