I'm annoyed by all of those tunes, really.
I always hated Speed of Sound. Not sure why..... but I've got to say that Talk isn't all THAT bad

I quite like TALK

talk is ok, I liked it more when it first came out but now I don't enjoy it as much. Fix you gets good but the first two minutes or so are shit and the lyrics are poor imo.... don't care too much for Speed of Sound
I gotta say that the video for the hardest part is annoying and disturbing. I hate it. some naked guy and an 80 year old stripper, it's sick. the song comes and goes but it's definetly not single material.... I hope coldplay make up for this on their next album, I'm not sure they would want to try anything different as many middle age people buy their records and it's safe to keep on doing the same (commercialy, not critically)

X & Y is over cooked, and very much there be here now, but based on its own merits, its still a fuckin good album, and i found myself listening to it alot more than DBTT. DBTT left me gutted

DBTT left me gutted I gotta disagree with you, I rather listen to DBTT 10 times in a row than listening to x&y.... it has some good songs but nothing special and it's too long and as someone said here on the past, Martin sings too much.. every song on DBTT sounds different than the rest and still it sounds like an album. that's my opinion anyways

BHN was overproduced and completely full of itself. X&Y is just flat.

I certainly dont hate CP and do like a number of their tunes. Didn't like X&Y one bit though, fix you was the only bit of 'brilliance' for me on the album. I've never been so may be totally off but they are one band who to me puts a dull image in my mind when it comes to a live performance.

DBTT is fuckin mega album, no weak points and it sounds relaxed and fresh to me. I listen it almost every day. I think, that tell something. I found X&Y medicore and boring album. I haven´t listened that album for ages. But Fix you is great. Highlight of the X&Y.

i remeber thinkin of how much better DBTT would be than X & Y, Lyla leaked and i was listening to it non-stop, then i was comin home one evenin and listening to the radio and they played lyla, and the DJ said and heres the new one from Coldplay, and just thinkin' this wasnt soppose to happen

X & Y just sounds like one continuous song that drones on and on imo. The first half of DBTT is ace and every song does sound different from each track. Good call Mogly.

pitty theres a second half to DBTT eh? hardly a good album if you can only talk about half Well, coz in my humble opinion, the ENTIRE X & Y album was unlistenable. Better to have half a good album than to have the entire thing suck. Like Noel once said "Im a fan of albums not of bands"... I think that applies to Coldplay in my case because I absolutely loved Parachutes and most of A Rush Of Blood To The Head.

noel talks shite - if you go by that then in all honesty- what has he done thats been of worth since 1995 - you have to look at bands for more than albums

noel talks shite - if you go by that then in all honesty- what has he done thats been of worth since 1995 - you have to look at bands for more than albums You just contradicted yourself. If Noel hasn't done anything of worth (meaning his music right?) then you do look at a band's music to determine if you like them or not. Albums are for the most part, what makes a band. Fact is that bands do put out their share of bad albums...The Rolling Stones, Oasis, etc. all have clunkers...It's up to their 'loyal' fans to decide wheter or not they're still fans after a horrid album. I still like Coldplay...just not crazy about X & Y.
