While I like the idea, I don't think that conversion really works for SBOTA.

Sounds a bit good doesn't it? Was credited to just Liam at the end of the film so I guess he wrote this one. clyp.it/tpekyjlh - I believe this is the demo but could just be the start of the song which then goes in to a more full sound. clyp.it/gnruiqdq - The fuller produced version. I think Once has the potential to beat Wonderwall as the top hit in the US that Liam's sung. Um. Are you joking?

Comparing the pools from Black Star Dancing, Rattling Rose and Shockwave, we have the following averages: 1) Shockwave = 7,67 (267 votes) 2) Rattling Rose = 6,34 (134 votes) 3) Black Star Dancing = 5,47 (243 votes) Can't wait for Sail On Interesting. I do find it hard to compare ratings between the fellas, because for Noel you rate against DLBIA, Live Forever, and Champagne Supernova... while for Liam you rate compared to Songbird, Wall of Glass, etc. For example, when compared to the vast data of Noel's catalog...(7.67) Shockwave / comparable to All Around the World, The Death of You and Me, Fuckin' in the Bushes, It's Gettin' Better (Man!!), If I Had a Gun... (all top 50 Noel tunes) (6.34) Rattling Rose / Comparable to She Taught Me How to Fly, Carry Us All, It's Better People, My Sister Lover, Let Forever Be (#110-114 and mostly b-sides) (5.47) Black Star Dancing / Comparable to Can Y'See It Now?, Sittin' Here in Silence (On My Own), She Is Love, Those Swollen Hand Blues, (Get Off Your) High Horse Lady (#138-142 bottom 20) Those seem about right to me...

Will have to wait to hear the full version but this has potential to be the most amazing song either Gallagher has ever wrote. Its just so emotional, I get this intense feeling like no other song I can't stop playing it, truely incredible piece of music. Shockwave is great as well, its going to be another belter of an album from Liam. Um, that seems just a bit hyperbolic.

Why do they claim they haven't seen each other in 10 years when its on record from both brothers that they have? Because they constantly tell lies.

Mouth isn't a fan. Liam could release literally anything and he would be here saying the same old things. He's here for the troll. i'm just being realistic. flick of the finger is 9/10, sons of the stage is 9/10, come back to me 8/10, i've all i need (i would consider it his best solo output) 8,5/10, but the majority of beady eye and especially his solo stuff is rubbish or, even worse, cringeworthy (for what it's worth). i find it completely ridiculous, that people rate that song 9/10 or 10/10? what do they rate live forever then? or slide away? again, if you compare this song (or any other song on as you were) to oasis standards, then most of them wouldn't even end up as a b-side. i wonder what people around here would rate pass me down the wine or won't let you down, if they would've been released on a liam solo album. "10/10, awesome songs!!" People do that with Noel's stuff too. Apparently Holy Mountain is literally better than the Oasis classics. Numbers mean different things to people, and everyone's scale is different

Well I was speaking about their music and the quality of it. You are going beyond that into areas I didn’t broach but you know what? I’ll play this game. HC and DBTT basically sold the same amount of albums in the UK and globally. In 2002-2003 HC was a huge seller. People tend to forget that. SOTSOG didn’t move units but HC took care of business. Tours were very similar in size and scope. Oasis always had people admiring and looking up to them. Bands like Kasabian, Arctic Monkeys, Libertines, etc were following in their footsteps long before DBTT dropped. And elderly Oasis huh? They broke up while touring their next album 3 years later. Nothing was sustained for a big run. No shame in ANY of that. This is a 1000 other bands dream scenarios. However at the end of the day this was still Oasis becoming the Stones. So so album’s. Big ass tours. Repeat. So because HC was popular that somehow devalues the importance of DBTT because it was popular too? It's only on this forum that HC is derided. To most the general public and general fans it has 4 great oasis classics on it. Then the rest can be debated. I know you live across the pond so I'll forgive you for not quite understanding how big 2005 was for launching the Gallagher back from obscurity in the UK, but trust me it gave them such a new lease of life. Admittedly you're right that that was blown apart by an awful relationship between the 2 of them in 2008. On that note, anyone else noticed how genuinely close and friendly Liam and Noel were during DBTT tour? Thats the best period for the new band dynamic IMO. DOYS they looked like robots in the interviews together. Who are you referring to with the "general public?" Just the UK and Europe?

Speaking about the film he said "As much as people think my ego is out of control, I'm not arsed about having a film about me. It was nice to document the comeback, I suppose, but can I really be arsed having a camera in my face when I'm on holiday! There are some good bit's in it and I'm sure people will enjoy it. But put it out now and fuck off. I keep telling people not to get to excited. It's not Star Wars". Speaking about being blocked from using any of Oasis' music in the film he said "Yeah he wrote them, but he was part of a band, and I was in that band singing them. If I was singing his solo gear then OK. But these are Oasis songs. They belong to the people. He wrote them, I sang them, we made them". www.stopcryingyourheartout.co.uk/2019/06/liam-gallagher-on-being-blocked-from.htmlLol at Star Wars. Part of the issue to be considered though is it’s not just Liam using the oasis songs, it’s allll the other people involved in this movie that would be profiting off of Noel’s copyright. Charlie, the director, producer, Warner, etc, etc. kind of bullshit to expect Noel to hand all these people his work! His point is that it is their (Liam and Noel) work, not just Noel's

I cant find it anymore, but someone made a remixed version of chinatown at the time and it really made the song much better imo. same with someone redoing greedy soul and adding in electric guitars. Yeah been wanting to hear that again but no one seems to have it. I have it, but don't think i can post it here. It really does make the song a lot better, even with the "interesting lyrics" the song has

Wall Of Glass is the most overhyped song on this forum ever. I dunno, the way some people talk about Holy Mountain, you'd think it was better than Live Forever, not the cringe inducing crap it is

What would you have done if you're in the same position as she's in now? The whole Brexit is completely mess and waste of time. I have no idea. I still don’t understand why May is presiding over Brexit when she was in support of remaining. That’s a massive conflict of interest. She should have resigned a long time ago. HOWEVER, while I would have voted to remain, I am not in support of a second referendum - which would make a mockery of our democratic system. Elections and votes have consequences. I absolutely hate the UK’s referendum concept - it’s minimizes complex issues into a populist binary choice. You are in favor of several things that are mockeries of our democratic system.

Black Star Dancing is now topsong on radio 2, one of the most important radiostations in the Netherlands. That means you hear it every other hour or something for a whole week. That sounds unpleasant for the listeners. I kid. Still not my thing

I like Noel finishing with All You Need is Love. I think that one thing he's been trying to do in the past few years is to inject the optimistic and humanist spirit of the 60s into his music and persona. Obviously Noel has always been interested in the whole 60s aesthetic but it used to be blended with cynicism. But I like this shift because I think we need this optimism in dark times, just as I think cynicism was needed in the 90s. Almost like saying someone shouldn't look back in anger. Or that you should stop crying your heart out. Or that you are free to be whatever you want. And those are his own songs, not a boring cover bringing back the Beatles comparison

Was DLBIA full band or acoustic? Acoustic with Gem on electric solos. He needs to allow Chris to drum on an electric DLBIA!

Whatever you think of the other songs, he really needs to drop All You Need Is Love. A boring cover, and he has literally 20 songs he wrote that would work better as a closer. Or just end on electric Don't Look Back in Anger

For me it’s a 4..I think it’s a bit tuneless ie not enough melody and certainly not living up to or at least referencing the influencers he cited..underwhelmed Weirdly enough I think it's as melodic as anything off WBTM, bar DITW. It's a nice change in direction for me. It's a decent song with some very good bits. So a 7 is probably fair for me. But yeh, opinions. See for me a decent song with a few good bits gets a 5.

I think you people must have a different scale than me. To say it's average or pretty good and then give it a 8.5/10?!? I will say that if this was any other artist other than Noel, I would've turned it off after like 1 minute. Can you imagine 1996 Noel listening to this? Not that people shouldn't try new things, but man, he's getting rid of the aspects that made him good and replacing them with crap
