Sounds like an incredibly immature thing to do and also the very definition of doing something just to “own the libs” to borrow a phrase from US political chatter. No, I don't think anyone voted Leave to "own the libs". However, large chunks of the country have been ignored and left to rot for decades and people raising legitimate concerns were dismissed as thick and uneducated. In the run up to the referendum, the main argument from Cameron and Remain was that things would stay as they were but could get worse if we left, but these people had been ignored and patronised for generations and had nothing anyway so for them it was a risk worth taking. Obviously it was an old post you were replying to, but my point was that a lot of remain voters (even more so now 3 years on) are all too quick to dismiss leave voters as thick, racist idiots rather than taking time to understand why they voted leave and meet in the middle to address their concerns, thinking if they just stamp their feet and talk down to people as if they're simpletons they'll change their mind. But its just creating an even bigger divide. I say this as someone who would prefer to remain by the way. And for the record, I think Noel is absolutely spot on in his latest interview. That's the problem with Brexit though. You can't just implement the result without causing harm to the UK and its most vulnerable peoplr and causing the return on a border on Ireland (without the backstop). There's a reason it hasn't happened and that's because it's so destructive.

Noel survives Brexit with his millions whilst the "ordinary" people lose their jobs and suffer through decreased public spending, a carved up NHS and austerity on steroids. That's even before a hard border on the Island of Ireland returns. It's a dick, ignorant view.

Updating my vote from 6 to 7. I’ve been listening to this every day and liking it more and more. Noel’s voice sounds great in the pre-chorus and the guitar solo is pretty fucking cool Agreed.

MPs are absolute fucking idiots for not voting to avoid a no deal today. Those Labour MPs that voted against are an utter disgrace.

I’ve never heard BRMC before but I just went and listened to spread your love and damn you all are right. The verses are extremely similar. But the whole time I was listening to spread your love I was thinking... what trex song is this so 🤷♀️ You've never heard BRMC before? 😱😱😱😱

I quite like this one from the couple of live videos I’ve seen. However, we all know Noel steals parts from songs (which I don’t actually mind as long as it’s stolen from a decent song!) and I can’t help thinking he’s nicked the verses from Weller’s Brushed. Which, by the way is a fucking good tune. Sounds more like Weller "Science".

Everyone sat down until the Oasis stuff, then it was crazy. Sitting down during Fort Knox and Holy Mountain? Yep.

Hard to judge but I like what I'm hearing. I get the Weller similarities. Yep, hear Weller a lot in it. That was my first impression when hearing it live.

I was generally bored by the Edinburgh gig. Probably doesn't help I've seen him about 20 times though. Highlight was SCYHO which I haven't seen live for years, the rest was avarage and there's only so many times I can take getting hugged by random drunk 40 year old guys during The Masterplan and DLBIA! AYNIL has to go as a closer, don't close with a cover when you have so many good songs yourself and IMHO it doesn't work. I keep repeating this like but Oasis closed with a cover for their entire career pretty much. And it was only ever two different songs, bar the Maine Road gigs. Was that consider an issue then? It's not an "issue" he can do WTF he wants, just doesn't work IMO and was also the opinion of the casual Noel fan who I went with last night. Anyway as an aside, the sound was dreadful last night, one of the worst I've experienced at a gig. I think it was because I was high up on the balcony but it was awful, ruined a lot of songs.

Just think some perspective would be nice. Fed up of seeing him get slagged off for 'boring' setlists not changing etc when he's chopped and changed on this tour far more than any tour he's ever done, tbh. Yeh, I'd like to see HTWA dropped for something more adventurous. But it's perfectly understandable that it's in, for example. DITW is clearly a fan favourite. Talk Tonight is, as is LBL (goes off whenever it gets played). The two ? for me in that set are TIOBI and HTWA. Think Heat of the Moment really needs to be in as again it really goes off when that gets played. But guess what, he's got more new songs to come. Perhaps they'll get chucked in. It doesn't matter which way you slice it, this is a boring setlist from Noel. As usual he's done the bare minimum. We knew there would be new material so there's no reason to overly praise him for the two new songs. The only genuine surprise is SCYHO, which is nice. If you think it's a treat to hear Talk Tonight again for the millionth time then you are very easily pleased. I was expecting much more from these gigs. The extra backing singers on RR were on stage all through Gaz Coombes set. I thought they were his singers but then they appeared on RR. I wasn't blown away by RR, I thought it was kind of 70s lounge music or something. Fits the b side of BSD anyway.

Same as usual but had Masterplan SCYHO RR BSD and HTWA. V similar to last year. Very boring. BSD sounded better live but that and RR was very "meh".

So are we getting new songs (plural) tonight or what? What are the odds? Or, let me guess, It's Good to Be Free, followed by Talk Tonight, followed by Dream On, blah, blah, blah...... Guess it'll be BSD with set list from last year with SCYHO as a "new" song.

Hey everyone, Following on from Gem, Russ, Mikey Rowe, Paul Gallagher, Dan McDougall and Christian Madden appearances on The StageLeft Podcast, I bring you Jess doing a deep dive into her time in NGHFB. She played us new Noel tunes and we had a jam. She's doing another one of our live events after the tour, where you have dinner with her and she plays a set to just 7 other people. A couple of Live 4ever forum members came to last and it was magic. Go to StageLeft_nights for details For now tho...here's the podcast audioboom.com/posts/7252600-jessica-greenfield-noel-gallagher-s-high-flying-birds-the-kondoorsShe played new songs? Not just BSD? I think Simmo has already said he's heard a few new songs so she must have.

Haven’t been following (hospital, innit). Is the EP leftovers from the WBTM project? (BSD feels like a leftover). Or are these completely new songs he’s releasing? And why an EP and not a full blown album? Doesn't seem it's a left over, it's produced by him. Noone knows why there's 3 EPs.

See my post above. That's the gigs I am referring to batfink30 I'd like them to be but he will no doubt premiere BSD live in Edinburgh which is classed as an intimate show. I don't know where the acoustic gigs idea came from? I know it'll only be one new song but I'm hoping for more.
