^ So, you met up with NL4E in the gig? nah, i'm with l4e on this one. he's one of the last people to be a dick threatening people, throwing his hand in the air like a white guy at a hardcore rap show. l4e wouldn't be the one waving a t-shirt hitting everybody around him. that's what the argument started about, actually. he was hitting my friend and everyone in his vicinity with a shirt he was waving around. when he politely told the douche to stop, he started cursing my buddy out, threatening to punch him, etc. now, this is about the time i should tell you that my friend works out every day and is pretty ripped. (that fact was hidden by the work outfit he was in.) needless to say, he wasn't very intimidated by the douche, but with two other people ready to have his back (not to mention the other fans around him he was pissing off throughout the show), he was going to be outmatched. his dad, who by my estimates looked in his 60s, actually put his hand on his spoiled brat and said, and i quote, "stop being an asshole." the idiot lost his glasses during his encore. i hope someone stepped on them, the little fuck. almost ruined my favorite beady eye song, "kill for a dream." and jenny, you probably heard my friends and i yelling "weller! weller!" at the roadie who looked like the modfather. Bahaha! My husband and I were laughing at that since at V-Fest I actually thought that was Weller walking around at first :-p Great show, was second row right in front of Gem. Partied hard, Beady sounded great! The sound was a lot better than in Toronto as in T.O. there seemed to be some feedback which I didn't hear at Webster. Got some great pics and some video, although the sound quality of the videos on my camera is always crap despite it being a great point & shoot. Fave song of the night may have been Sons of the Stage - amazing energy from the crowd on that one. I wanted to pogo but nobody around me was having it. Great meeting a few of you at the Penny Farthing - NYR I believe, right? And great seeing you again Paul. Any of the rest of you out front of Webster on the barricade meet Liam after the show? I asked him to please sign my poster which he did very kindly. I'm sure he was very tired so it was really nice that he stopped for a couple mins to sign & take pics. PS How jerky were the venue security? They kept kicking us further and further away. I get that they have to unload, but when I am standing on the sidewalk across the street, your jurisdiction ends. Sorry. This one guy was really picking on us - two totally sober people just standing there - while an entire group of fans is left alone near the barricade. Luckily I just said screw it and ran up beside NYR. Good thing I did! I always try and respect the security but these guys were idiots. I have pics and a whole wonderful story from when Jenny (who I will always love for taking me to Letterman!) and I saw the Ed Sullivan performance and got pics with Liam afterward. I will do a big huge blog post on my website in the near future and will post up a link

Met Gem & Andy again after the show - everything was amazing. Bring on NYC!

Yeah and maybe I'll finally get a tambourine! Okay maybe not, but a girl can dream, right?
Sorry Pete, we only have the two.

Umm yes. I'll be in town for two days before to do things, it's also not my first time to NYC. And I'm not doing the wait for the Toronto show. It's the smallest gig I will have ever been to with a Gallagher present so I wanna be close! Besides, Jenny will wait with me :-)

I'd just like a girls t-shirt or hoodie personally. I assume all the merch (crappy or not) is mens?

Jenny - unfortunately not since I'm shooting a wedding the day of the Chicago gig Ianbrown21 - watch it, I'm a married woman. Too bad about the Chicago But drinks definitely, well have to see if there is a line...I am infamous about queuing up early! Anyways looks like our husbands will get on well Good! Because I really want to line-up early for the NY show and get as close as possible. I don't usually bother, but for a Gallagher, yes.

Paul - of course! :-) Next time we are in NYC we are taking you out for a pint.
Thanks so much Sword, we will get in touch if we will be travelling by train. Yep, starting in London, and actually we're hoping to maybe fly up to Ireland for a couple days, then fly back into Liverpool, and leave from Manchester's airport.

Thanks guys - honestly for us it's one of those things where seeing the places that mattered to all our favourite musicians will be super fun to us, even if it is not the nicest city. We'll be spending the majority of our trip in London and just going North to check out the historical stuff musically. Besides, my future husband's not the tropical vacation type, which pretty much leaves Europe, and we've both always wanted to go to England!
Great advice here - thanks a ton!

Hey guys,
So fellow Live4ever board user Hinsey21 and I are getting married in September this year, and we are FINALLY taking a trip to the UK for our honeymoon! ;D
Obviously we want to do touristy stuff in London like the Tower of London, but we want to then travel to Whitechapel to do a Jack the Ripper tour, and to Liverpool to see Crackerbox Palace (ha!), and to Manchester.
To those of you who have travelled to Manchester - I've heard rumours of local tours (put on by Clint Boon I believe) that take you to the places important to the history of Oasis, The Stone Roses, The Smiths, etc. Any specific recommendations on thing we need to do or see? We want to see as much Oasis-related stuff as possible.
Any suggestions appreciated!
Cheers, Lisa

I love Jill Furmanovsky - her shots are amazing and always have been. She's totally my role model - when I was an aspiring young photographer I wrote to her and she wrote back a lovely email to me, and was just great. I hope to have a large JF print hanging in my home one day...just need to save up for it first
