Will be there as well...with 5 friends! I'm also curious about whether there is a support act or not. There's gotta be. I will be calling the venue to see if there are any details. Most likely doors at 8, opener at 845 or so and BDI around 945/1000. It's unfortunate that the shows at Sound Academy. I hate that venue, however, I don't think this will be a packed house which is usually one of the main problems with it - too damn busy. Not to mention remote location. So, who's gonna find out where the band is staying so we can "accidentally" run into Liam and the boys?!

The opening act is called The Hippy Mafia. They confirmed it on Twitter. I don't know where Beady Eye are staying and it isn't going to be easy to find out. I guess i'll have to phone a bunch of hotel's asking to connect me with Liam Gallagher's room lol.

It will be hard to find them as there will be the MUCH Music Video Awards the Night B4 in toronto so lots of acts and B-stars in town, not to mention lady Gaga. Lol

Very quick update from tonight's gig. Was amazing! Got a photo pass (shot for Live4ever) and think I got some great shots so stay tuned to the site for that.
Met Gem & Andy again after the show - everything was amazing. Bring on NYC!

12 hours post-gig, and I'd like to share my opinions. Venue complaints aside, almost everything was great with the show. Beady Eye is a tight, tight band: Sharrock is fantastic. Andy and Gem play great together and sing the harmonies well. And Liam's voice hasn't sounded this good in years. The stage setup is simple, but effective, with fantastic imagery displayed behind the band throughout the show.
Unfortunately, and I'm sorry to be negative, the only thing missing in this equation is SONGWRITING! With the exception of a few tracks, the majority of the band's repertoire just really isn't all that interesting. The songs plod along with little dynamics, and fairly repetitive vocal lines. I'm not sure if this is due to Liam's limited range these days or what, but the songs just don't generate that feeling for me.
I know Beady Eye is trying to distance themselves from Oasis, but the simple fact of the matter is that without their Oasis heritage, they would be playing a small NXNE gig at best.
