well i had a washing machine that was almost 30 years old
a refridgerator - 24 yrs
dishwasher - 21yrs
30cm colour tv - 19yrs
electric can opener - we got rid of it a few years back but had it for 10yrs
n more shit up in my garage!!

those must be marvels of modern engineering. Most stuff these days breaks < 10 years. now only if my tv would break so i could get a new one.

hot water heaters are most likely gunna be the oldest thing around the house; useless you got a new one!

i hadnt thort of the hot water heaters, but i went n made sure i was right n i do have a new one! as for my parents well my dad just turned 45 today!!
my washing machine n dishwasher r simpson and my refridgerator is a malleys. i dont know about the others

my nana has a 50yr old + cooker she still uses. It still works perfectly - unbelievable really....
