I don't thnik I hate any Oasis songs, and I never skip any of them on my player.
But I must admit there are a few songs I don't like (not including rarities/b-sides/unreleased cos that's not super quality)
OFF Morning Glory:
HEY NOW - is boring, but I don't listen to MG every day, so it's alright. I must say it'd be great if the song ended when you think it's supposed to.
SOME MIGHT SAY - just got to say that it's only decent in my books
CAST NO SHADOW - I'm surprised that nobody else mentioned this one already. I don't particularly like it cos it's pretty drab. I love the melody and then lyrics, but there's something about it that just cries "help me I'm boring!"
Off Standing......:
PUT YER MONEY WHERE YOUR MOUTH IS - it's a driving tune, but I'm pretty sure it's the only Oasis track I skip. Period.
I CAN SEE A LIAR - moderate tune. It's definitely got everything going for it instrumentally, but the lyrics are seriously lacking.
Off Heather Chemistry:
FORCE OF NATURE - I must admit that I'm not a fan of Noel's voice on this one. Noel is simply put my god, but there's something about this song. I think it plods.
SHE IS LOVE - it's a brilliant simple tune; unfortunately it's used too often as background music....
That's it. Understandably the weaker songs are off of Morning Glory (the poppier ones) and the flops from SOTSOG......

Hey Now - Ugh it's just obnoxious Girl in the dirty shirt - Meh. I just don't like it She Is Love - bad song Every other song is on a scale from good to fucking incredible.  People gotta lay off Little James. It's a cute little tune. |

I can't believe people don't like "Who Feels Love?" I think It's genius. It's one of the only Oasis songs you can relax to. It's one of the best songs this side of the millenium.

I really don't like 'Roll It Over'. The tune is so depressing and unexciting it makes the song boring really.

She is Love is horrid, and Little James makes me want to puke. PYMWYMI is gross, as is I Can See a Liar.

Can't stand:
Shakermaker. Shake-along-with-meeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee. Shake-along-with-themmmmmmmmmmmm. WTF!
Cigarettes & Alcohol. The fact that it resembles T-Rex's song makes it even less desireable.
Little James. The fact that they could've had "Let's All Make Believe" makes me spite this song even more.
Little By Little. Absolute crap CD listen. However, the only time I ever dug this song when I saw them live. That's it.
Lyla. Are you kidding me? I remember when it first came out, how everyone ripped into it. But like Little By Little, a live concert experience is somethin' else. But "Hhhhhhhhhhheeeeeeeyyyyyyy Lyla!" Whatever.

the girl in the dirty shirt is really good. liams voice is brilliant and i love the keyboards at the end. 6,7 and 8 are the best tracks on that album. Isn't a bad song on the whole album(except for one that a lot of people seem to dislike - not the worst song ever though). Here's how I listen to SOTSOG... Play FITB, GLIO, then the into to Who Feels Love, skip to Gas Panic and WDIGW - then I turn the CD off, because the rest of the CD is crap(Roll It Over the least crappy of them, but still not very exciting) To help pick the worst Oasis song, I submit 5 examples of blah: Who Feels Love, PYMWYM, Little James, SMC, and ICSAL. Invariably, the consensus always seems to end up being the first contribution from the youngest Gallagher brother. Little James is the only song I REALLY wish the band had never recorded... |
