Apparently it's the fastest growing spectator sport in the country so do any of you have a night out at the dogs? If so, where do you go? I normally go down there about once or twice a year. We have a dog track in Harlow, just down the road from me which is where I watch it. I have a retired greyhound and I'm taking her to Walthamstow track to take part in a parade of retired dogs who used to run there. Small boring fact about the place, it's the track featured in the artwork to the Blur album, Parklife!

That's really nice that you have a retired greyhound. I had a friend who had two and they had been rescued and had been near death as they had been left in a shed because they were no longer of any use to the owner. I can't really say I enjoy greyhound racing for that reason. But I like the sound of the retired greyhound parade - sounds like there are folk that do care after all. Good on ya!

Cheers, there are a lot more people these days providing homes for retired greyhounds. You still get some vaginas in the business though. My old greyhound who died before Christmas, I rescued from someone who was going to shoot her. She lived on very happily for another 10 years with me.
