Is Arsenal bound!!
Just what we needed, a player with international experience inbetween the ages of 23 and 27
Great news. But How will we line up next year in the midfield now?
Early signing, unusual for AW, looks like we will get more than 2 players this summer, atleast i hope so...what AW says about transfers is different than what he ususally does -- i think we need a better striker though
Reyes: he's a winger, but im giving him one more season v Persie: v good, but seems to be selfish, immature, and not a 38+ starter yet Adebayor: like the link up b/w him and Henry, but wastes alot of chances, not clinical...our own Drogba, damn it Walcott: needs 1 season or so to adjust to the Prem, and mature
we also need a DC, and maybe ML (Pires too old, even if he stays, Reyes too inconsistent)
so im hoping for 3 more signings: Striker Left Midfielder Central Defender
we get those 3 and we will def be set for the season
to leave: Cygan, Gilberto (add a DM to the list above then), Pires (although looks like hes staying)
that would be my ideal transfers in/out

A great signing, am v happy, esp as a replacement for Bobby who looks pretty much gone I think Wenger is buying early for any players he thinks could impact in the World Cup before their prices rocket.... Don't need a striker: Henry Adebayor (complements Henry's game completely in 4-4-2, needs a little sharpening, but this will come. He's very good already, will be great soon) Van Persie (was on fire when he got a run this season - we don't need him for 38+ games, even though I think he'd be up to it, because of the other two/three lads vying to partner Henry) Walcott (I fully expect him to get a fair no. of games this season) Reyes (at a push, I don't like him up front) Don't need a Left Winger: Ljungberg Reyes (love him on the wing, he's brilliant in that role) Cole (if he stays.... Wenger has played him here before when he's had Clichy at full back, and he's looked right at home) An established central defender we could do with.... I reckon one more major signing, and anything else will be fairly minor... I doubt Wenger wants to tamper around with the team too much, there's a lot of young players coming through as has already been well documented I've never been a huge fan of Gilberto, but his CL performance this season have been immense.... Shame he looks like a big girls blouse for too many Premiership games.... He won't be sold, and I think on balance Wenger is right.... Fabregas needs a player like him to play alongside Cygan has to go. Period. We were just lucky he was injured all season, otherwise he'd have got 40+ games.... I think he gives Wenger good head. It's the only explanation.

Rosicky is an excellent player - great signing from Wenger, before the world cup
id say an experienced centre back and striker is all they're missing now
while they undoubtedly have some of the best young forwards in the game, if Henry ever got injured..... they'd be fucked. you cant rotate 3 or 4 20yr olds and expect to win the champions league...
a quality striker in the 10mill bracket and a good centre back to replace Campbell. Go to spurs again - Defoe and King ;D

I would love King, but i cant stand Defoe.... I really like Torres. The naysayers claim that he wont be able to play in the Prem. But look at mini cesc. I'm sure Torres would be a great signing, although i do have a slight fear he could turn out to be another Reyes. I strongly feel Torres will be signed. Yeh he's 21....but we need 1 more striker: Henry: superb v Persie: talented, but selfish and has a temper Adebayor: links up with Henry well, but is too much like Drogba and cant finish Torres would, i believe, be our second bester striker we'll see I cant stand Gilberto either. But just like Cygan, AW will stick by him. I love Diaby though, shame hes out of action until like November And Flamini is NOT another LB. He did well enough for us this year. I'm not a fan of Flamini too much. Great effort, but nothing special...kind of like Ray Parlour. CB, ML, Striker....thats where i think we need to buy 1 player each for

Was talk in the Evening Standard last night of Wenger wanting to go for owen. Apparently is built into his contrac that if a club offers more than a certain amount for him (the trigger figure is said to be around £12m) and Owen wants to leave, then Newcastle can't stop him. Now THAT would be something to see. Michael Owen and Thierry Henry up front?? Tell me it wouldn't be awesome. Teams woudl shit themselves. I realise this is all rumour and will probably never happen, but £12m for a striker like that we can well stand, after making all that CL wonga. We need a big game player who isn't TH14, for when he gets injured or is just knackered. Walcott is too young really to do it by himself, and I have yet to be convinced by Adebayor - the run at Tottenham (spit) aside he's been nowt special. Plus he looks like a date rapist. Van Persie is the nuts but he's probably the new Bergie, sitting back off the main strikeforce. Rosicky is a great signing, but he won't be the last. AW wants to bring at least 2 more players "of great calibre", i.e. not a bunch of kids - let's face it, we have enough of those and they're great and they're growing. Arsenal will doubltess perform much bette rin the Prem next season.

we've got freddie and hleb
freddie - had a poor season, but i believe it was a one off, showed great effort....just lacked the goals
hleb - i like him. v skillful. only problem is that he does hold onto the ball too long/makes some sloppy passes...but next yr he should be more settled -- we need a ML and DC
ML: Reyes is inconsistent, giving him 1 more season (but we need back up)
DC: Cygan HAS to go. Even if he doesnt, we need 1 more CB as good cover to knock Cygan even lower down. Plus, who knows what Camps will do?? -- if we have money left over we need -
DM: Gilberto isnt good enough. What does AW see in him? Diaby is out for half of next season. Song is crap.
Striker: posted above about this position. Would really like to see Torres. -- Pires
I'm glad he left. He's a has been. He still can play v well, but those games are few and far between. He doesnt tackle or get stuck in, thus he also doesnt defend well. He's no where near the player he was even 1 year ago. Great player for us, but its time to pass the tourch.....lets hope AW doesnt do another Vieira when 'replacing' him
