Ronaldo, the star of the 2002 world champion Brazil, has spoken to representatives of the New York Red Bulls about the possibility of playing for the MLS team, BigAppleSoccer.com has learned. Ronaldo, who performs for Real Madrid in Spain and who is expected to play for Brazil in the World Cup in Germany this summer, is interested in joining the team, according to sources close to the club and sources from around the league. There is even some scuttlebutt that Ronaldo already has agreed to join the team, but that has not been confirmed. -- BigAppleSoccer.com

Hey webby, April Fools day was about 8 days ago. Mwah, there could be a very small chance. He doesn't like playing for Real Madrid and New York's supposed to be a great city. And that club might have a lot of bucks too.

The latest :
If Brazil does well and he gets a salary hike he will stay with the Spaniards. If not he is coming to NYC for 5 million a year ( 4 years )
Have inside source. No JK

I dont think he leaves Europe yet. Maybe he could leave Real Madrid to join other first class team, but it's soon for him to stop playing in the best leagues. But I'm sure he'll think about playing in US or Qatar when is 33 or 34, to win some more millions and increase his goals list. I'm not sure about this, but I think he earns about 6€ millions a year, that is what other star players like Raúl or Becks earn

Fuck Red Bull! They are trying everywhere to get the best players at any price. The same here in Austria - they overtook Salzburg and now they are talking about players like Nedved, Roberto Carlos or Ze Roberto

Ronaldo is still imo the best forward in the world. he sais he'd be interested in going to MLS in a few years but he's not even 30.... c'mon. I don't know why a guy that's Brazil's second best scorer in history and taht is just 2 goals away from being the best scorer in the history of the WC gets all this bashing. He's still very young, stronger than he was (not fat as some might say), still one of the fastest players in the world.... it's all bollox
