I’ve been listening back to the GMex and other old gigs recently, and I was struck by how much better Be Here Now sounds live than on the record. It’s almost like a completely different song.
It got me thinking which Oasis tunes sound significantly better live than the recorded version. These are the ones that spring to mind for me:
Be Here Now Supersonic - I like how the tempo is sped up when they play this live Cigarettes & Alcohol

Fade In-Out To Be Where There’s Life Lyla Turn Up The Sun
Morning Glory in the 2000s with the proper intro The Importance of Being Idle from the DOYS tour on as they started playing it a bit faster

Pretty much every Oasis song sounds better in concert to me. Can't think of one where I prefer the studio version, off the top of my head.

Fade Away sounds shit in the Cigs and Alcohol B-side. Sounds class on Don't Go Away/Warchild. But it is at its best live.

Everything performed during Mk I bar the songs that didn't get live performed by the band proper.
As for Mk II and on...
I'm Outta Time
During the DOYS tour, the live arrangement is much more ethereal, majestic and apocalyptic with the faux strings, synths and electric guitars.
Turn Up the Sun
Gets a better luster live without Sardy's flat, lifeless pancake mix. Guitars live seemed to growl more. Punchier drums.
Born on A Different Cloud
Much better arrangement live.
Who Feels Love?

GMEX All Around The World trumps the studio version in my opinion, it just gets better & better

I don't know why, but for me this is Lyla.
I don't know why I don't really like this song but in live it is totally different and hit hard and love it.
Don't judge me 😬😂
Otherwise I think Oasis is truly a live band. Songs are made for live performance and kick all

Nearly all of Heathen Chemistry. I'm watching their set in Tokyo 2002 and Hung in a Bad Place and Better Man are pretty fucking rocking. Can't remember the last time I wanted to listen to the studio version of either of them.

Every single song.
I listen/watch live professional recordings almost exclusively (YouTube) and rarely listen to the studio versions.

To Be Where There's Life, definitely. Never keen on the studio version, but killer live. I'm sure many others would agree. Not a huge fan of this song, but i love this performance This one from Nante is the best live version of this song.

My personal fav could be Champagne Supernova (95-99 era), because its longer, and waaay cooler than the studio version
