I hope it's full. I want them to be back as if they never went. Albums every 3 years and frequent tours.
I've always said this is how it should be if they do come back. It is not comparable to The Stone Roses at all. They were long gone, and a flash in the pan. John had been in the wilderness for years and Ian was making okay albums but largely under the radar.
There's no harm in a 6/10 or a 7/10 Oasis album impacting their legacy. They've already had albums that didn't live up to the 90s albums. They both love releasing music and both have been in good form with their solo careers.
Back for good please lads.

I think if they are going to do a new record, that means Alan White is definitely out. No way Noel is going to just jump back into the studio with Alan. But we know what Noel really thinks of drummers. He might be willing to play some shows with WTSMG songs with Alan, if Russ Pritchard comes along. My gut says there will be a new single. Maybe released as an EP, online only single, or packaged with Masterplan Part 2. I doubt Noel just agreed to jump back into the studio under the Oasis banner. That would require a LOT of interaction with Liam. The reunion gigs will be easier for everyone. A couple of rehearsals (especially if Sharrock and Pritchard are part of the new Oasis lineup) and off they go. Does Liam really need to practice Champagne Supernova? lol

If they do release new material before the gigs it'll obviously make a huge difference, but assuming it's solely a reunion tour for 1 year only what do we think?
Will Noel revert back to his rigid boring unchanged setlists from the last few tours which is basically Stop the Clocks, or will we see a more creative gig-to-gig setlist? I've enjoyed Liam throwing in 'deep cuts' during his tours so I'd love to see them dig back into previously ignored stuff post 2000 like Gas Panic, Don't Go Away, All Around the world, Whatever, It's Gettin Better Man, Stay Young, Go Let It Out, Listen Up, Etc.
We're definitely opening with Rock 'n' Roll Star or Columbia.
What Y'all think?

If there's no new material then something like this is pleasing for casuals and die hards
1. Fuckin' in the Bushes 2. Columbia 3. Some Might Say 4. Roll With It 5. Lyla 6. Cigarettes & Alcohol 7. Acquiesce 8. The Importance of Being Idle 9. Half the World Away - acoustic 10. Morning Glory 11. Don't Go Away 12. Go Let It Out 13. Gas Panic! 14. Songbird - acoustic 15. Wonderwall - acoustic 16. Talk Tonight- acoustic 17. The Masterplan - acoustic 18. Stay Young 19. Supersonic 20. Live Forever
Encore, 21. Don't Look Back in Anger 22. Champagne Supernova 23. Rock 'n' Roll Star
Encore 2, 24. I Am the Walrus or My Generation

A new LP would be mega! It’s the one thing I was gutted about with the stone roses comeback that we never got a third LP😩 even if it took years and they just met a few times a year to record new songs. I imagine Mars to Liverpool, I’m a wheel, just another rainbow etc would’ve been on an epic 3rd Roses album.
I reckon Noel’s got a few belters up his sleeve that’s he’s put on the back burner for a few years when he’s thought “this suits Liams voice not mine. I’ll keep it back if ever we get back together”

I think a new album would be a good way of satisfying some fans who missed out on tickets.

I'm starting to feel that this is just one off. I was hoping for new music arrive at some point but I'm not sure. It could go either way I think.

I reckon they could do an album.
I don't think they're preserving some great legacy in terms of their discography. I think in the eyes of most people (maybe not on here), they have just as many ropey albums as they do great albums. I think Noel would probably somewhat agree.
If they'd just disappeared after a couple of seminal albums, that would be different. Much more pressure.
I don't think it would do them any harm to put out an album that's no better or worse than the last few, as long as it has a couple of good tunes on.

I doubt they're planning too much at this point, just get the initial tour done and if everyone is getting along and having a good time then they can do an album and a fresh tour with new songs after that. One thing at a time

I don’t think you can read too much into this, why would they announce it now anyway? I think they’re gonna see how things go. If they go well, great they can continue. If not, glad you got to see it while it lasted.
