Noel may have actually wanted to reform for DM30 but waited for the divorce to be finalised so he wouldn’t have to share the earnings…? Divorce negotiations, especially complex ones, can drag on… Was he planning on adding John Squire to the new Oasis line up as well and having him write all the songs? Well if the divorce had gone through quicker then that little side project may never have happened. In this hypothetical parallel universe.

If that were true then Liam would have just waited, wouldn't he? He was/is desperate to get Oasis back together and was going to earn a shit ton of money. Noel was definitely getting divorced. He could have just put his feet up until it happened if it was a long drawn out plan.
You wouldn't do a second 90's nostalgia thing, would you? It just complicates things. Just my thoughts. Who knows.

There was absolutely no point in waiting and waisting his precious time while he was still in high demand It’s always better to do your own thing than do nothing at all I heard that Liam was booked for big solo tour in 2025 that was canceled. So if the reunion didn’t happen again for some reason he would’ve still been busy

Who is going to do anything to risk that just to keep busy? Is there any evidence to suggest this was part of a long term plan that was dependent on the divorce going through beyond them stop picking at each other in the press? Bonehead said he spoke to Noel in 2023 and they were on good terms so there is one bit :-)

Reunion happened, so a Liam MG tour would make no sense whatsoever. It doesn't look like it was a MG Tour x Reunion thing, more like "MG Tour is my plan B"

Who knows. That’s how you feel but Liam loves working, smashing out albums quickly and touring. Maybe knowing Oasis might soon be reforming spurred him on to get the Squire album and tour done even faster? Well reality has proved doing an album with Squire absolutely was not a risk to Oasis reformation ticket sales. Any Oasis fan who decided to skip on Oasis tickets cos they saw the Squire tour is an absolute melon in my opinion. I doubt a single one exists. Finally, who turns down a rare opportunity to work with one of their idols who is usually a recluse?

Finally, who turns down a rare opportunity to work with one of their idols who is usually a recluse? It would be a bit of a pisstake to ask John to write an album and only bother to do one small UK tour, a gig in the US, no festivals, barely any promotion, hint at a second album and then drop him because you were planning to do Oasis all along. Just my thoughts but I don't think Liam is like that. I'll leave it for now because we're going round in circles and we won't know the actual truth for some time.

Liam didn’t ask John to write an album. It was John who approached Liam about the project. John’s a bit of a hermit. Maybe he was the one who only wanted to do a small tour and little promo? He’s in his sixties and has teenage kids. Maybe they’ll still do another album. Noel is working on Goldie’s next album, so why can’t Liam have Oasis side projects too? We’re not really going round in circles, you’re just not coming up with arguments that convince me your conjecture is more likely than my conjecture 🤣

Imagine Oasis releasing a new single and it's I wanna live in a dream ( in my record machine) with Liam on vocals I remember reading sometime in 2005 or 2008 a Noel interview where he said there’s a 12 minute epic version of Record Machine with Liam on vocals, with guitar solos, and similar to Champagne Supernova in scale. I wish I could find the quote, but this has stuck with me through the decades (wow, decades…). I so desire this version. Record Machine has/had huge potential. Noel’s polished NGHFB version is nice but is essentially the demo. I want the guitar laden Liam vox version! It must be somewhere in the vault.

Discussed on the previous page. Suspect Has It Leaked are just recycling old news (Noel had recorded 6 tracks for his acoustic album before scrapping it). 100% likely to be recycling news from other places. HIL isn't very reliable and has repeatedly been called out by fandoms because of this I was excited about this until I"ve read the bio of hasitleaked: "Don't treat my tweets as fact"

I actually met Noel yesterday on the way back from Lisbon, on the airport bus. Managed to chat to him for about 10 minutes about City (We were also out there for the city game). I didn't ask about a new oasis album (because I know he's not gonna announce that to me) but I did ask about the solo albums he said he was working on prior to the reunion, he said "once this is all done he'll go back to that".
He was really great and chatted to us for a bit about City and Oasis (my brother and i said Oasis was our first gig), and was happy for us to get a picture with him. I've seen him a few times at City away games and hes always said no (understandably given the amount of requests).
Havent been following this forum, but i know Liam has said they are not doing Asia. Noel said they are doing Tokyo and South Korea.

He said they weren’t doing South America so now it’s like a running joke when he says they’re not doing Asia. I think anyway…

Oasis are also massive in Japan. Of course their world tour will include Asia.

I'm still holding on to the idea that the stadium rock album he told Matt Morgan he did after after covid is the new Oasis album
