Not confirmed yet obvs, but i suspect the idea is by doing it in batches it never gets too busy so the price inflation doesnt happen.
Tbh thats a decent response. Wasnt sure what theyd do and that is quite a good way to go about it. Just need to do the same for the other UK gigs given the demand is there, which it likely is.

So they did announce more U.K. dates! These definitely feel like a late addition rather than being planned from the beginning. Yeah Sunday and Monday are unusual to say the least. 7 Wembley gigs ! 8 is the record.

I see it more as a way of pretending to find a workaround to dynamic pricing when they could have done without it in a first place.

End of September, absolutely mental. I'd have to check but I don't think anyone has ever played that late in the year at Wembley Stadium before. In fact, there can't be many outdoor gigs in the UK played around the time either.

Surely has to be more Irish dates too. There were 500,000 people in queues to get tickets for each day.

Sounds like a good plan they've come up with here to ease the tension. Hopefully it goes well.
They have been teasing the American dates on socials and this makes a lot of sense for those leaked September ones so I wouldn't worry too much about it

I'll call that cheating though as that stadium has the benefit of the roof closing... If only us English (read Sir Norman Foster) had the foresight to do the same...

What has it to do with the dynamic pricing? How do you think it works? Sound like you believe it's something out of Ticketmasters control. Like they have to "trick the system"... They could just do like before but choose to not use dynamic pricing. I suspect to the level of being pretty damn sure, they are doing it because of the long que of hundred of thousands of people and people waiting for hours and getting errors. If they skip dynamic pricing, it has nothing to do with the batch-thing.

news.sky.com/story/oasis-announce-two-extra-wembley-stadium-shows-13209664Oasis have announced two extra Wembley Stadium shows after their tour sold out over the weekend - and addressed the controversy over sales for the first time. Both Noel and Liam Gallagher, as well as Ticketmaster, came under fire over the initial release, after fans spent hours in virtual queues and some tickets ended up costing more than double due to "in demand" pricing for the reunion tour. Amid the backlash over prices, the Competition and Markets Authority (CMA) announced an "urgent review" of dynamic pricing to ensure consumers are being treated fairly, while Culture Secretary Lisa Nandy promised a government review and the European Commission also said it would examine the issue. Now, Oasis have announced two further dates at Wembley Stadium in September. There will be a staggered "special invitation-only ballot ticket sale strategy", the band said, devised "as a small step towards making amends for the situation". They said it needed "to be made clear" the band "leave decisions on ticketing and pricing entirely to their promoters and management, and at no time had any awareness that dynamic pricing was going to be used". Applications to join the ballot for the September shows will be opened first to fans who were unsuccessful in the initial sale, they said. "Inevitably interest in this tour is so overwhelming that it's impossible to schedule enough shows to fulfil public demand," the band's statement continued. "But this ticket sale strategy will make the process far smoother for fans by reducing the stress and time it takes to obtain one of the hottest tickets of our time." Prior meetings between promoters, Ticketmaster and the band's management "resulted in a positive ticket sale strategy", which would have been a fair experience for fans, they said - including dynamic ticketing "to help keep general ticket prices down as well as reduce touting". However, "the execution of the plan failed to meet expectations". They added: "All parties involved did their utmost to deliver the best possible fan experience, but due to the unprecedented demand this became impossible to achieve."

The ticket process sounds complicated Skim reading it...if I entered the original ballot. Will I be invited? Not particularly clear on this.

But after reading the twitter announcement it says: "Applications to join the ballot will be opened first to the many UK fans who were unsuccessful in the initial on sale with Ticketmaster." So it sounds like you have to register and then they will send the ballots after confirming you tried to buy tickets for the UK gigs but did not succeed.

I think if you if you already got tickets you won’t be able to get an invite this time. That’s the way it reads.

There’ll have to be some way of proving you were unsuccessful in getting tickets the first time around. Maybe the email will be sent to people who entered the original ballot but didn’t get a presale code.
