Anyone else feel slightly off about all this? It feels a bit cold, that photoshopped pic doesn't help lol and no interviews yet It feels like it's only for the money but let's wait and see Don't get me wrong I'm still happy that it's finally happening

If this was a pure business decision they’d be announcing the 100 dates or whatever it’s gonna end up.. the reason isn’t Noel’s divorce he gets the back catalogue back next year he’ll sell it for millions .. this is music and age related decision. New music will follow in time

I wanted NEW OASIS MUSIC out of this. Gigs are fun and all, but the songs last forever.
Will remain optimistic though...

Its a shame brexit happened, british band dont go to europe anymore. Pulp has been reunited for 2 years and we're still waiting. Anyway, i hope this works and clearly, they're playing it safe for now with as few dates and as much money as possible. Noel was always gonna be doing something big for MG reissue, this is it. Not getting any hopes up for new music, they're a long way from that. Maybe 2026 after the MG craziness and if didnt kill each other in the meantime. Don't even talk about it, eveything will be alright 😬 We will have Prague, Barcelona, Athens, Belgrade, Stockholm, Riga, Budapest, Milano... and whole year of enjoying Oasis gigs.

Still trying Wembley i think, this is one not to miss and its been a long time. Anyone got a kid around here ? Is it doable with a 6 year old ? Would have passed if that was standing, but with seats...

Have you got anything positive to say? You understand that Noel’s worth an absolute fortune? Them dates announced won’t make him as much as wonderwall does each year! They are loaded .. it’s age and time related quote author=" surrealneil" source="/post/1757685/thread" timestamp="1724746546"] Anyone else feel slightly off about all this? Not really, it's like I expected. A massive cash grab to make up for a divorce (on Noel's part). That's not knocking it, I don't blame them one bit, but it is what it is. Will anyone care when they're at the gigs though? [/quote]

New music, tours etc. A handful of dates and nothing else would feel like a cash grab indeed.

I'm quite puzzled about the stadium tour in the USA. If real, this is BIG They've been gone for 15 years. A stadium tour isn't that shocking to me. Nostalgia is powerful and people love their entertainment in the post pandemic era They were never big enough there to cause enough nostalgia to fill the rose bowl, its bigger than Wembley. That's gotta be some co-headline type of thing if the venues are correct. We know they're a big band and hype/nostalgia sells but there's more chance of me banging Jennifer Lopez than Oasis selling out the Rose Bowl stadium alone.

Anyone else feel slightly off about all this? I know what you mean. I was as excited as anyone, but suddenly I'm feeling a bit down on it. I guess the photos, the clear plans not to make music, it does feel like a rather cynical minimum effort cash grab. Which it almost certainly is. Oasis was always about a spirit for the first three albums at least. This completely lacks that and actually seems completely counter to it. I know I'll be there. But spending hundreds on tickets if they wouldn't be in a room together if not for the money would leave a sour taste. Part of what I'm paying for is supposed to be seeing a band, not a cold and calculated business exercise. It's sad if we're all being manipulated to help a couple of divorced millionaires with their bills...

No plans for new music if the Guardian are correct is disappointing. Hopefully they are just keeping their cards close to their chest and things might change as this progresses.

New music will follow in time I've already said here that if they had scheduled 100 dates, the story would have leaked by now. You can't expect that out of so many people from so many countries, no one would reveal what's going on and that reunion is happening. I hope there will be 100 dates, and I don't see it as them trying to make as much money as possible, but rather as them being good-hearted people who want to make as many people happy as possible by letting them hear them live. 🤫😆

Fans will be traveling from Seattle, Denver, Phoenix, Las Vegas, San Fran, Vancouver, and maybe even places like Tokyo That's enough to get pretty close to capacity

This is all about securing the legacy and giving the Oasis story a good ending. New music would be great but I'm not counting on it.

I'd say we should just wait and see, they may even themselves not know what will follow It's too early to talk about new music and all, it could happen just as much as them going back to their solo projects in 2026 to never speak again If you care about it not being just for the money, then give them the time and space to work it all out first

This is just the beginning. They won't give us all the new content like videos, interviews etc all at once. They surely want to keep the hype going by releasing stuff day by day

This feels so transactional at the moment.

From the Guardian: "The band also has no plans to re-enter the recording studio to make new music." I can’t remember the last time The Guardian was this pessimistic. Also what is their source for this claim?

Well, there's got to be new music from them at some point, even if it's not Oasis. I just fear that if it's not in the works until the tour starts, there might be no releases from either of them until 2028, assuming there'll be gigs in 2026.

The mention "no music" is just to keep a future announcement a big news. One announcement at a time. My guess is, if that goes well, they'll record an album. It feels a bit cash grab, but it could turn out emotional, for them and us. Music is always a business in the end, let's hope the ticket prices are not too crazy (right!? )
