Totally get what you mean but that's not 'them' doing the marketing is it? That's just making use of the power of social media / things going viral / their own popularity / legacy? None of that would've cost them any money or effort? Part of that is digital marketing, and does cost money. Good digital marketing should be seamless/invisible. Obviously. (And also - hi spaneli :-)) At the moment, I fail to see the digital marketing campaign as, following the teasers, the whole thing just blew up? As testament to their popularity, it looks like they didn't have to pay for much for 'it' to gain traction? |

Wow, the excitement here is making me really making me reminisce on all the classic "event" moments here. This obviously has to be on the mount rushmore. I hope Liam and Noel are on good terms. Enjoying watching everyone post their excitement, I'm definitely sharing that sentiment. It's a bittersweet moment and all that's happened in the past 15 years. Brings a smile to my face to see a lot of familiar names and avatars posting.
It's hard to but if you can neglect the obvious massive check that was written for this, it's a reminder that life is so precious and poetic. I think that's a big part of why this is resonating with the general public/music fans, and why it's especially important that Liam and Noel actually did patch it up. It's a rare full circle moment and we get to share it!

I was listening to NG on the Matt Morgan Podcast a few months back. He mentioned scrapping his next acoustic album for a heavier rock album. Makes you wonder what's been cooking behind the scenes up to this point. Can't wait to learn more!
