I'd say they could do a few stadium shows off the back of a reunion if they really wanted to but they would need to choose dates wisely Those “leaked” (probably fake) dates had maybe two east coast stadiums and the Rose Bowl in LA. I think that’s about as realistic as it can get though multiple nights at an arena would be better. Either way if we get anything it will be on the coasts and probably only a handful of shows at best. What were the leaks??  |

For a lot of us, the big question is America. Of course they could probably do 10 Knebworths in England and still have ticket demand and headline any major festival in Europe or Asia or South America. But what about stateside? Do they still have enough fandom here for even a small tour of major markets, playing arenas/amphitheatres, to make sense financially? Or do we think it’s going to be similar to the Blur/Stone Roses route (ie. Headline a big festival, do a show in NYC and/or LA)? Gen Z and modern indie kids haven’t picked up on them the way the newest generation post-2016/2017 have in the UK and Ireland (meanwhile, their former labelmates Slowdive are 10x bigger here among music fans than they were three decades ago). Obviously they’re far bigger than both Blur and the Roses combined in the US. I’d guess Oasis could sell out two nights at Madison Square and two nights at the Hollywood Bowl easily. Without a big name support act, I think it's New York (MSG), LA (Hollywood Bowl), Chicago (United Center), Boston (TD Garden), and Toronto (Budweiser Stage). With a big name support act, maybe a 2nd night in each city. |

Also, saying I "have a connection" also won't mean that much, I do realise that as well. I guess we'll truly have to wait and see now. 6 or so more hours to go really. It'll be like 1 or 2am when its announced on my time here in Canada, which is the CST timezone.

I can't believe we're mere hours away from the announcement. I remember that August 28th vividly. Even being so sad that day, I admit that I didn't expect that a reunion would take so long. This feels surreal.
Yes, waiting for leaks was great (DBTT comes to mind). Hearing a new Oasis album (hell, even a single song) was always unique.
Waiting for gigs was a blast, always hoping for a surprise on the setlist (still can't believe they played Supersonic in São Paulo in '06 after not playing for the whole tour).
But this? Trying to rationalize how I feel gets me back to Christmas' mornings as a kid.
There's no way of knowing how this will go. But I'll cherish this feeling for a long time.

i went back and listened to that clip of Liam
from the Charlestown pub which i remember when it happened - and am finding myself getting very nostalgic tonight for all that beady eye and solo material from both Liam and Noel over the past 15 years.
i will never forget when that NGHFB album came out. helluva lot of great material from both brothers all these years. bit of an end of an era tonight.

It's fine to enjoy it for what it is. It's not every day that your favorite band as a kid gets back together. Enjoy it!
