Well its one of those things where theres two sides to every story. One thing I know caused conflict with Liam was that Sara is friends with Lisa Moorish who is Mollie’s mum. And at that stage Liam had nothing to do with her. Sara sided with Lisa and so did Noel i presume. I know there were rumours of other things that they blamed each other for, and it turned out neither were to blame? I dont know the detail there, but it certainly wouldve made Noel a bit of a man in the middle and made things hostile. And then Ive heard this allegation about her selling stuff on the band to the tabloids or something? I do think its exaggerated somewhat, but it undoubtedly presented a psychological hurdle before now. Ask Liam and one of Sara's best friends how it came together that she basically hated Liam from early 2009 on. Let's put it like this. But thank god that doesn't matter anymore. What happened? |

It's hard to imagine two brothers never having been in the same room together and spoken properly for 15 years.
There was that Olympics celebration that both were at in 2012 when they bumped into each other very briefly (Noel pointedly said 'behave' and that was that apparently). Outside of that very brief interaction, any other possible meetings? What a strange feeling it must have been regardless.

The Sifter's interview was filmed on one of the days Liam played at the Co-Op Arena I think? There were murmours then about Noel and Liam actually being in Manchester at the same time. Who knows if they popped in to see Peggy... And yet... nobody living on that street put two and two together on that day, took pics or a video and sold it to the MEN or another tabloid? No because Peggy's bought their silence with a couple of broken penguins and a brew right?  Well it has been mentioned a shitload of NDAs were needed. |

Hahahah yeah because you'd pay loads to buy people's silence when instead of meeting at your mum's, your respective managements could just sort everything out via email / zoom / by phone. Even IF a meeting between Noel and Liam was required for a reason I fail to see, it would hardly have taken place at their mum's. It would surely add to the folklore but come on... anyone who believes that believes anything |

Liam apparently shouted something towards Noel who told him to behave and that was that, they were kept separate all night. Then they crossed paths inside the Etihad when City won the league a few years later. Noel had Vincent Kompanys captains arm band around his arm and Liam approached him joking that should be his. Apparently a quick hello and again that was that. |

I think Liam alluded to dates being revealed on Friday, perhaps tomorrow a press release officially announcing the reunion? Whatever the case, I have no idea if I will see them. I've never seen them live, I sure as hell want to, but the likelihood of getting something this big is, fair to say, slim. But me getting to see them is beside the point and quite trivial. It wouldn't dampen my enthusiasm by any means. An overwhelming desire to see those two mad bastards bury the hatchet and be seen together for the first time in 15 years is enough for me. The hype, the recognition, the endless articles about what it is that makes this band unique - that feeling and obsession when I first listened to them all those years ago, it's all come together in the last couple of days again Meanwhile, I'm probably the only person here who never wanted them to reunite. (Check my post history. I've made it quite clear.) That said, now that, well, THE LEAK IS IMMINENT, I'll be there… if I can get my hands on a ticket. I never wanted it either because I really enjoyed their solo stuff but its happening so..... However, I hope that they'll somehow still release their solo albums at some point. |

I should’ve said, “we need to get gdforever back, and Silence Dogood, bastardnumber1 and that other complete fruit loop back or this reunion will be null….. I'm guessing that person was inferring that Liam either slept with or insulted one of Sara's friends. Which, tbf, is both in the realms of possibility haha. However, the Sara and Liam not getting on saga seems to have started way before 2009. Probably more a case of Sara trying to get Noel to leave Oasis and Liam sensing that and also seeing Sara as someone being 'in bed' with the media which in turn meant Noel was becoming more 'media-friendly' too and Liam despised that. That's my take on the whole thing |

I'm only really intrigued about the reunion if there's new music It'll be nice to see them together playing a gig for sure, but I could really take or leave a handful of nostalgia gigs and nothing else. |
