Would bet it is more of a strict financial agreement with firm boundaries and not a brotherly everything is forgotten hug fest. ... I mean, Liam tried to use media to guilt-shame and turn people against Noel for not being at that charity concert for the Manchester terror victims... That was 5 years ago… A lot can change in that time… I highly doubt their very first meeting in person would be backstage prior to their first gig in front of 80,000 people after 15 years.

Well Simon & Garfunkels various reunions kept everything strictly professional with no warmth between them.
Obviously they'd rehearse together and do all the other necessary things, but they never really resolved their own animosities with each other.
That and the fact neither of them called each other 'c***s' and everything much worse for 15 years suggests Noel and Liam have a lot of making up to do.

From another, non Oasis forum:
I believe the line up will be Liam, Noel, Bonehead, Gem on bass and Zak Starkey on drums. That's what I've been told by mate who works for SJM Promotions. The same person who told me 2 years ago that this was happening in 2024, but it got postponed due to Noel's divorce. He's a reliable source for information.

I recall liam tweeting a few months ago or a few weeks ago that he had a photo shoot.
Does anyone remember that tweet or have it somewhere? What day was that?
I'd like a timeline as to how far back these 2 have met.
Also the Sifters interview with Noel was a month or 2 ago right?
I my opinion Noel and Liam had already buried the hatchet by then and already met because Noel was way too nice and positive about Liam.
It sounded way more like a guy who was cool with him again

Sifters interview was when Liam was in Manc doing the DM gigs. So probably met then - Bonehead would've been around too.

It’s just a reunion for a few concerts in UK, fine but no new music in the horizon.

That was 5 years ago… A lot can change in that time… Or a lot stay the same. But you want to make millions. It does irk me a tad that the money figures are splashed all over headlines, like thats all either of them want it for. I won’t deny it was maybe what finally provoked that necessary “oh, g’won then” from Noel following his divorce, as reportedly Sara got £20m. But Liams wanted this for years. Said he’ll do it for free before. Hes clawed his way back into the public eye solo so doesn’t need it for the exposure. While Noel’s said he’s already rejected more than that quoted £50m paycheck previously. And he’s still rich as fuck from his career. I don’t think he would suddenly 180 and agree to this if he and Liam weren’t on the same page. Just hope if it happens, theyre able to establish that its more than just a shameless cashgrab.

I really like the way the Stone Roses went about their reunion, just a couple of singles for something different. That way your set isn't watered down with trying to fit a whole album's worth along with all the hits, plus you get something fresh On that note, I’d laugh if mani were came out on bass Now that would be something. He could play the tunes with his eyes closed and he's a legend.

Don't think it is a cashgrab for Liam (i mean, he is selling out Knebworth on his own) But I doubt Noel suddenly wanted to be brothers again and to be in Oasis. For him, I think it is about the paycheck. That hopefully can lead to a new album and it working out great.

I wonder if they have been in the same room together or if this has all been done through phone calls and management Would bet it is more of a strict financial agreement with firm boundaries and not a brotherly everything is forgotten hug fest. ... I mean, Liam tried to use media to guilt-shame and turn people against Noel for not being at that charity concert for the Manchester terror victims... But they're brothers. Obviously a lot of damage was done, but siblings can make up easier than anyone, once they actually address it face to face. You know what families can be like. If they get in the same room, they'll probably quickly realise it was ridiculous and that they need to put it in the past. And not to sound morbid but their mother is an old lady, are you gonna wait for her passing to finally have to get in the same room and be civil? Or maybe just act like the adults you are, quit being knobs and just be civil.

If Noel and Liam can do it there is hope for Israel and Palestine.
And if there is hope there, we should start talking about The Verve supporting these gigs.

Noel might not technically be as good but it's all about the sound and the feel that only he can do. There's a reason why Coldplay once tried to write a guitar solo that 'sounds like Noel Gallagher' rather than the Heavy Stereo front man.

It's not unheard of. But hopefully this turns in or is something more genuine than other reunions. I want new music.

I don't see why Starkey would be chosen over him.
