Everybody talking about gigs but imagine new Oasis single on Tuesday 😱 This actually crossed my mind. I mean there wasn't really any need for Audio in the 8.27.24 clip

Everybody talking about gigs but imagine new Oasis single on Tuesday 😱 Think they could have snuck into a studio without anyone noticing and reporting on it?

Everybody talking about gigs but imagine new Oasis single on Tuesday 😱 I'm torn. Stone Roses dud comeback? Or something akin to You Know We Can't Go Back with Liam singing which is biblical? Do we want new music? I do and I don't. oh man Liam on YKWCGB would be biblical indeed. For some reason, I keep imagining a new Oasis single would sound like Stay Young — just pure joy. Or something really “defiant” (in Noel’s words) like C&A where Liam can let loose on the vocal

I wish I could remember where it was, but I swear I heard Andy Bell say in a podcast or interview that he'd be up for it if Oasis were to reunite. It'll be
Liam Noel Gem Andy Chris Mike Rowe on keys Bonehead inevitably
Zak is Noel's second favourite, so he's the supersub
Alan White — good to see him drumming again but nowhere near up to scratch or the skill level he was when he was in Oasis. Hasn't got anything on Chris who's a) Noel's current drummer, b) still in Oasis, c) has been a touring working drummer non-stop since the 80s rather than being playing in his attic since 2003
They don't strike me as a "we're gonna get an old friend to come up and play a song with us" kinda band, other than guest guitarists. I highly doubt Guigs (who'd be too shy to do it) or Tony (he played the parts perfectly at the time, but Chris can do them just fine) will get up.

Did anyone listen to the BBC Sounds 'Rise and Fall of Oasis' series with Jo Whiley and Steve Lamacq? Came out in July and the last episode was talking about the possibility of them getting back together and thought it was odd they were still discussing that nonsense. Maybe insider knowledge? They've been close as any journalists to Oasis since the beginning. Either way, it seems prescient. I was asked to guest speak on that, but i missed the email, it was actually a good listen too. I'd have ruined it for sure My "thoughts" in a nutshell.. Spooky that my London exhibition tickets go on sale 9am on the 27th, timed nicely. 5 or 6 Qna's this time with some very interesting footage lined up....and a golf cart. Hopefully get some good luck launching at such a hot topic time Anyway, Noels band are musically far superior to liams. But Bone is the bones of the band. Liam Noel Bonehead guitar Gem bass Sharrock There is no chance Noel goes into this without his comfortable reliable and btw.... mad talented musicians who are all in the circle currently, less risk and no upset to current band members. Add Liam and Bone to that and wow. 10 dates, Manchester and London, see how it goes. If it works maybe festivals and a proper tour. If it doesn't work, the slap arses and wave goodbye.... John Robb couldn't make the press party for TWFly Manchester as he was in Sifters filming with Noel that exact time.

will Andy leave Ride for this? I don't think so. The lineup in all likelihood is already set - Andy is booked for an extra European leg with them early next year. Who knows but I think he's fully invested in Ride. I can see them supporting possibly.

No way Noel's gonna hand over all those lead lines Gem's been playing from 1999-2009 to Bonehead, or try and play them himself. He barely plays a solo these days, and we've seen what happens when he tries them after a few years of not playing themhaha. Gem's still lead, with Noel on rhythm open chords / occasional lead and Bonehead on barre chords. Andy on bass, or Russ as a supersub.

Everybody talking about gigs but imagine new Oasis single on Tuesday 😱 Think they could have snuck into a studio without anyone noticing and reporting on it? I believe they must have met somewhere and more than once if the reunion is going to happen. There's a lot of work involved and many details need to be arranged. And I believe that first they needed to meet few times, you know, to stop feud and everything. I don’t think all of the above happened through private messages on Instagram. Whether it's a reunion or a new single, Liam and Noel must have met in person more than once.

But I'd be happy to hear him anything Noel’s written since then. As long as it slaps, as the kids say.

Everybody talking about gigs but imagine new Oasis single on Tuesday 😱 I doubt tbey've recorded anything yet (if they're going to at all). It would have been too hard to keep a recording session quiet. When the Beatles did FREE AS A BIRD/REAL LOVE/NOW AND THEN at a private recording studio news leaked very quickly - and that was in the days before there was much social media!

They emailed asking to collaborate 2 weeks before it launched, I did see the email but forgot to come back to it. Then 2 days before launch they chased but I was setting up the exhibition and missed that too. Hopefully rekindle with the London chat. ....... I've just popped a comment on anais recent pic to see if Noel did actually find the elusive 1997 lost tracks I sent him. As next weeks announcement, whether it's a reunion or not, would be so much better if he did listen to them and did chuck one out. Comment on my comment to keep it fresh for tomorrow and let's hope they're bored at home and do it. 33 mins in... "IM ALIVE, UNTIL IM LOCKED UP INSIDE!" or "WOULD YOU PUT YOUR ARMS ROUND ME WHEN IM SLEEPING".... (Convinced this song is 'Slow', Owen said "could be, how the fuck should I know" Worst case, more people know and wanna hear them on the BHN anniversary as bonus tunes. Finally I'll settle and never mention them again. You'll understand when you hear two of them especially WHY I wanted them official rather than YouTube leaked.

When the Beatles did FREE AS A BIRD/REAL LOVE/NOW AND THEN at a private recording studio news leaked very quickly - and that was in the days before there was much social media! Obviously no chance of it, but it wouldn't be so difficult to secretly record. Noel might have a tune he could easily record with Gem and Chris, send the tapes to Liam to record vocals over with Andy Bell or Bonehead adding their bits too. In this day and age, any band could record all parts separately and stitch it together. Lacks authenticity but pretty sure some bands have done it.

Not sure how / why he would know, mind. Let's not be greedy but it would be a shame for this to happen and for it not to be a proper reunion. that being said, maybe it is the first small step towards them properly reuniting for good.
