Oasis Podcast just said something after the Reading show tonight on the big screen? I’m en route to Reading, will report in! Would generate so much hype if the show ended with just a date on the screen.

People who are actually close to Liam didn’t say anything. Even if true, that guy’s a cloutchaser tbh

I reckon it’s happening. But for me this is coming at quite a nice time. Had they reformed 5 years ago I would have gotten major ticket anxiety. But at my ripe old age of 31 I’m actually not that bothered about going to see them now, I’m happy to soak up all the hype and watch it all go on, but I’m passed the point where I enjoy going to a horrible festival or stadium gig, with rancid facilities and mental people, just not for me these days. Heck, I only go to a gig nowadays if it’s at the Glasgow Hydro, the Barrowlands, or a small venue. Otherwise it’s a pass no matter who it is. Point is, I’m excited to watch this all unfold 😁 Yeah, I'm thinking I'll skip the gigs, if they happen. I don't wanna stand in a sodden field all day, legs aching and dehydrated, surrounded by a load of drunken knobheads -- and pay £100+ I don't have just for the privilege!
It'd be cool to see 'em headline Glasonbury from the comfort of my living room, but it's new music I really want. Those 00s albums can't be the end of their recording career! That would be such an ignominious end.
I'd be happy for Noel to carry on releasing High Flying Birds records and Liam to make more albums with John Squire or whoever else might want his voice for something (though no more solo albums please! Ugly, corporate affairs, with the exception of As You Were, which was also corporate, but actually quite good). But let's have some additions to the main discography as well please. Grow the Oasis legend even further.

Do we want some sort of comeback single to go along with it all? Highly doubt they would record a proper LP. Would be cooler if there was new music and a tour. And not some 1996 KISS reunion being just a nostalgic money grabbing act playing the first albumsReally hope this isn't the case. I still feel dirty for going to a Stone Roses gig in 2016 or whenever it was. Once it became clear, some time after I'd bought my ticket, why their tour was happening in the first place the whole thing felt so grubby.

The Mail uk newspaper saying It is understood that two huge promoters - SJM Concerts and Live Nation - are in the running to land the tour, which would include dates across Europe and America …. Surely a promoter should already be in place? If they're announcing gigs in a few days then it's because a promoter has made them an offer and booked the gigs.

Could be a promoter already booked the Wembley and/or Manchester gigs and this is for the rest of the tour.

It would be: Liam Noel Bonehead Gem Andy Chris Though I'd love it to be Whitey. Do we get a Scissor player for a cameo? We also need more cowbells, to dig up a past joke.

Surely a promoter should already be in place? My guess is everything's in place for these Wembley gigs but not quite done for any European dates, as others have said I feel like the Wembley and Manchester gigs are a way for the band to test the waters and then if they go well then great they can go ahead with a world tour - then again though, don't expect high quality journalism from the daily mail

I want a reunion so so badly. I never thought I would do but I really really do. I used to always say that I was loving both of their solo careers and we were getting double the songs. However, now it is happening I am on cloud 9. I had some extremely sad personal news yesterday and this has managed to cheer me up to no end.
However, one thing I do wonder about is whether we will ever hear NGHFB or LG songs again. Will it be a full on reunion (which is what I have been told) or just a one-off set of gigs to say goodbye?
Maybe it will be a sporadic reunion with NGHFB still being wheeled out every now and then. I do feel for Drew, Russ, Jess, Mike, Jay and all the rest that have just been dumped.
What would be very cool (obviously won't ever happen) would be for their solo acts to open for them before their gig. Liam goes and does 5 songs from his solo set, then Noel goes and does a few from his before FITB comes on and they both enter the stage.
Can anyone tell that I'm giddy?!

Could be a promoter already booked the Wembley and/or Manchester gigs and this is for the rest of the tour. I don't think they would split the tour over different promoters, at least for a big UK stadium tour. The big money will be for a commitment to one promoter or fixed consortium for X amount of dates at least initially, if they add more due to demand / the band wanting to do more gigs then it'll just get updated.

this is a bridge too far for me. I think that it’s looking likely a reunion of some sorts will happen for various reason, and other users who i trust like kyle are privy to more info than me but i don’t buy that an announcement is coming tuesday or tonight, or even in say the next month.

for this hypothetical reunion, who do you want to see support?
I’d love it if Johnny Marr (with a Moz appearance lol) and Ride opened the show
