One thing id say is with how much this has all blown up in media coverage, I reckon its safe to say Noel wouldve at least said something by now if this was all unfounded. Like how in the past he’s told Liam to stop getting kids excited for something that’s not real etc. The fact hes just kept his trap shut here really is telling. I don't know I still believe that it's happening but I wouldn't count this as a proof, it's not like Noel would tweet about it and it's like the second day of rumours Plus lots rumours before an album release are a good thing.. |

Key point for me is: Are they reforming as a permanent band or just for a tour? Yeah It might be a Stone Roses type thing. Plenty of gigs, maybe even tune or two but possibly not an album. I think it massively depends on the relationship between the band. I think it's one thing turning up to play massive gigs to absolutely rake in the cash night after night, people can put resentment aside for that. Getting together to make an album is going to rely on getting along well. We saw the Roses couldn't manage to get an album over the line for that reason. If they do start recording again, I'd say it means they're in a good place. |

Maybe he's keeping his trap shut because there's a re-release coming out in 5 days. If it isn't happening, probably better not to put a dampener on the fanbase on release week... Maybe this is all part of the PR to sell the re-release. Thats not to say they created the rumour, but the smart PR is to keep the rumours going until after the album release next week No band member has confirmed anything, they can just let the hype ride out for a few weeks to sell albums and then they can just say "we never said there's a reunion, it was paper talk" |

- Andy Bell is still very much a member of Ride and they go on tour next month. He won't be involved (thank god! ... I am not a fan)
- Loads of numpties on here think Guigs might be involved. More chance of me playing bass than him, I think.
Bonehead has to be involved but I just don't see Liam and Noel not wanting Gem involved. Would allow for a nice mix of the raw power of Bonehead and and the intricacies of Gem.
- Mikey Rowe might get involved but I'm not sure.
It'd be a shame for none of Liam's band to be involved but I reckon Noel will have picked the band, not Liam.

Also let's be real, 95% of the people attending won't care who else is on stage other than the two brothers. It's really dorks on forums who care. Most people are going for a night out, having a drink, see the two brothers and sing along. 75% at gigs couldn't tell you a bass from 6 string guitar I'm sure the band, especially Noel is aware of that too and might just pick the most functional band possible without being sentimental. Another important event next week is the presentation of Manchester City's third kit, which will be inspired by the "Definitely Maybe". I read that it will coincide with the 30th anniversary date. Will Noel and Liam come and make the announcement...?
