Good God why on earth would anyone want Beady Eye songs on this setlist? I think it’s a good test. If someone wants a Beady Eye song or one of the solo songs in a setlist don’t let them into the gig

I’ve seen the band 7 times over 3 tours and never managed to hear a song from Be Here Now. Which is the first album I bought. That needs to change. Even if nothing else, Stand By Me is pretty much guaranteed. You have to remember that its had such a resurgence since 2009. It was forgotten then. Its now one of their most iconic hits. God bless that bank ad

If "Stand By Me" was released as a 4:40-minute lead-single with a sweeter mix and little details like a better opening line and Noel singing that "nobody knooowsss.." back to Liam in the chorus, I maintain it would be a Morning-Glory level hit and would have single-handedly boosted the ongoing reputation and sales of Be Here Now.
A brilliant piece of song-writing. Im sort of divided on this. I do think its the best song of the 3 singles. Unlike DYKWIM its not totally ruined by the original mix for me, but it certainly could’ve been done better. I admit ive never had too much problem with its length though. Seems to go by quite fast when i listen.

I can believe that, as its always seemed to be one where they couldnt quite reach the expectations Noel had in the studio. But when they did it in a live setting the song could just be itself. Like that live take Liam did at Rockfield.

As I said at the very beginning of this thread - Oasis are too talented, with too strong of a back catalogue not to rotate some songs in their set list nightly. Give the fans a couple of surprises, make each show a little bit different, varied, and special. Keep it fresh…. Keep the fans guesssing….

Crazy idea, but Noel could stick Dead in the water and record it properly as an oasis song;

Crazy idea, but Noel could stick Dead in the water and record it properly as an oasis song; Dead in the water and If I had a gun are the two Noel solo numbers that I think would go well in the Oasis classic after classic setting. That said I don't think that's gonna happen. I'd limit Noel's solo vocals to something like: - Half the world away (Maybe rotate it with Talk tonight sometimes). - Little by little (Maybe rotate it with The importance of being idle sometimes). - The Masterplan. - Don't Look Back in Anger.

Surely Gas Panic will be included! I have a feeling it’s going to be overlooked. Hope not, it’s a monster of a track.

What they should do is include at least two songs from each album. Which means choosing from BHN, Noel. All albums should be represented but none of this Meaning of Soul or Ain’t Got Nothing nonsense. Classic b-sides from each era too. And maybe a song never played live before for the loyal fans.

Give the fans a couple of surprises, make each show a little bit different, varied, and special. Keep it fresh…. Keep the fans guesssing…. The boring and unpopular answer to this sadly is that it's hassle. There will be likely 3 screens all showing various visuals and camera feeds, the light scenes will be be pre-programmed. Guitars may need tuning, different keyboard patches and possible vocal FX. Plus, once the band get into their stride, they'll focus on nailing the setlist every night, they probably won't even look at it after 10 shows, it becomes familar and safe. The B-Sides on Liam's DM30 tour went down poorly (certainly in London) and Liam made multiple references to it. I'd love to see them mix it up but they didn't 30 years ago and they both don't do it on their solo tours. This will be pure greatest hits, banger after banger of giant tunes. Assuming the setlist is largely Pre-2000 with Little By Little, Idle and maybe Lyla thrown in, I don't think anyone will leave unhappy. My personal pick would be Headshrinker live. I could choose others but I love it.

I hope we at least get Go Let It Out,The Shock of the Lightning, and Falling Down. They can sit comfortably with the rest of the hits imo

Yeah, it’s a shame that I don’t like that song. I saw Liam solo performing D’You Know What I Mean and Be Here Now and I found that great. I hope that Liam will have a say in the setlist, as I think he has better taste in Oasis track selection than Noel. Yep. Always been more ballsy than Noel in choices

Why the hell would they play Beady Eye tunes? To schedule toilet breaks? Anyway, it would be the exact same boring setlist as the last few turgid years of Oasis if Noel has his way. Brilliant post and unfortunately looks like the bleakest of realities. The reunion is looking more and more like a last dash cash crab before 60 and with Marcus Russell steering the ship, Noel's camp is in full control here.

He cannot sing it live and they significantly lowered the key in 2019 when he had a go at it, still sounded terrible on it and cutting off notes.

If someone wants a Beady Eye song or one of the solo songs in a setlist don’t let them into the gig Easy fix. There should be two support acts before the Oasis gig - Beady Eye followed by Noel Gallagher's High Flying Birds.

Back in the 1990s Paul McCartney had a 10 minute film that played on the screens just before he walked on. It contained highlights of his entire musical career. Ultimately his warm-up act was himself. Something like that for Oasis would be fantastic. End the film with a montage of TV news reports about them getting back together then it fades to black and all the lights go down. Long pause - then FITB starts up. Crowd will go absolutely mental.

Odds of John Squire joining onstage for “Champagne Supernova” at the Manchester shows? As a massive Roses and Squire fan, I’d love to see that hometown moment.
