Following numerous listens of Noel’s first solo record, I have come to the conclusion that I would have much rather had a completely instrumental “concept” album, something which he has somewhat experimented with, having made pieces such as ‘Teotihuacan’, and ‘The Cage’, and I feel the vocals taint as well as add to the production in different ways. I don’t believe that vocals are essential in identifying a “Noel Gallagher” track, am I alone in thinking this?

Interesting idea, soupersonic! I can see why you'd think an instrumental album could work for Noel. He's definitely experimented with it in the past, and those tracks are always pretty cool.
