Mad on the Manics at the moment. Great band. Hard-working, learned, and melancholic in that distinctly British way--love 'em.
But best of all, they understand the worth (as Oasis did) in a rock band just making some noise sometimes, whether it's "clever" or not.

I like Peter Untersteiner's way of thinking: 'We must not finish last', then goes on to win. Must still have Austrian (born there, raised Sweden) in him.

I had a little thing with this one girl. And she's 8 years older than me...
I haven't even gOne to sleep yet but I'm already hungover as fuck.

Someone should create a SCR-EMO genre. See what I did there?
I'm copywriting that shit.

I bought new shoes and I've never received so many compliments about shoes in my life. It's ridiculous. By colleagues. Even by random people on the street. Even by my nerdy indifferent-to-fashion-friends who like them because "they're so 90s".
Apparently they're really popular and trendy. I was actually looking for other shoes, but they turned out to be extremely expensive and then I saw these at the space that says "similar items to this one". "They're so ridiculously huge, they MUST be comfortable", was my thought. At first I thought they were ugly, but I became obsessed. They're now sold out everywhere. Didn't realize that.
I'm an accidental trendsetter.

Hipsters fascinate me. I find it ironic that to try and be someone or something, they end up being nobody. Because they copy and paste someone else or something. Chasing what's hot in the town, nothing original really.

Thick old bastard commissioning today. Bjorn Goop (calmed down now), JMB and Eric Raffin probably had their sulkies tampered with. Unfair letting a free runner in the winner whereas not allowing the big 2 to run the rest of the race.

Been feeling quite chilled today. No hangover at all after waking up, just a bit tired but in a pleasant way so I could lay in the bed or watch footy whole day without getting bored.
And I decided to travel home after all. I'm on the bus now.

Felt a bit sad this morning actually thinking about my Grandad, I was his world š I have none left but i was only really close with the oneĀ“s from my dadĀ“s side. I lost the last remaining one from that side when i was 18. They were like second parents when i was growing up, i always went to their house post school when i was a kid. My childhood is pretty much connected to their image. My grandfather was 72 when he died and my grandmother was 76. I still think about them from time to time, specially this week i did since itĀ“s the week my grandmother died.

They treat out like you are another son to them. Their relationship as a couple, in my case, was a mess for reasons i never understood and my dad never told me about (but my mom knows) but despite that i could feel how much that house became happy when i was there. I always remember how he was always there in school parties for the best students, how he always came to pick me up to school, how he took me downtown to festivities and play in the fun parks and all. Miss him a lot. Their deaths were the two hardest days of my life.

Grandparents, parents (both in their early 60s, alcoholism and cancer), her little sister died almost 10 years ago (drug addict with many illnesses) and her brother is mentally ill shoplifter who I don't remember meeting at all. I've heard when I was really young he came to our house with a knife or some other weapon and my dad had to kick him out. The saddest thing is that her sister had a son (my cousin) and his father died a few months ago. I think he had terminal cancer so he booked a trip to Asia and overdosed there. My father's side is completely opposite. My great grandfather was the oldest person in our country couple of years ago until he passed away at 106. My both grandparents are healthy and hopefully live many years. The only tragedy from their side is my uncle dying in a car crash before I was even born.

Your mother is the same as mine right now in terms of losing people, but they were good people and died of natural causes all of them. I canĀ“t really imagine how it is to have people with drugs in your family. It must be a incredibly hard feeling knowing they are destroying their life a bit by bit and sometimes the help you give does not do anything. I reckon it gets to a point where you think enough is enough. That was probably what happened when your dad had to kick him out. I never met my great grandfather but i did meet my great grandmother, but she was suffering from Alzheimer and i donĀ“t think she ever really knew who i was. The most shocking thing i had to deal with as my uncleĀ“s battle with cancer. It was awful because at one point we all gathered in his house to drink champagne because it was in remission and months after it returned and he did not beat it the second time around.

My mother's family seemed to be very similar to Gallaghers (she was even born the same year as Noel). Parents got children at very young age. Her father was violent alcoholic who only cared about himself and even though he made okay money he never spent it for the family. My mum luckily managed to build a normal life but her two other siblings didn't. Her sister chose drugs to escape and I honestly don't know what happened to her brother. I just know he's been to prisons, been homeless and apparently he's living completely in his own world without understanding any sort of reality.

Reading your comments makes me wish I was close with my grandparents. But you can't have everything I guess.
