I still hate that I’m now 30.
But I just realized Liam was 33 during 2005’s DBTT tour, and he looked cool as fuck. So perhaps I still look cool as fuck, as well. Mega.

Last lesson cancelled, yes! Gonna keep writing (done four pages so far today, really in a rhythm) and listen to some jazz music. Incidentally, if anyone has any jazz recommendations, I'd really appreciate it as I'm just getting into the genre. The obvious ones:- A Love Supreme- John Coltrane Bitches Brew- Miles Davies Mingus Ah Uhm- Charles Mingus Maiden Voyage- Herbie Hancock Ellington at Newport- Duke Ellington For something a bit less well known maybe 'The Legendary Scott LaFaro', a posthumous release of arguably one of the most talented jazz bassists ever who died tragically young at the age of 25 in a 1961 car accident. You could also check out his work with the Bill Evans Trio and from the older jazz greats explore offshoots such as Jazz Fusion Bitches Brew... I listened to that one once, and I had to stop after 20 minutes. Maybe I need to give it another chance one day, but until then I will simply view it as a creative form of torture.

Maybe 'Birth of the Cool' or 'Kind of Blue' would have been better recommendations... The kindest quote I ever read about 'Bitches Brew' from someone not into it was a Classic Rock (IIRC) review for Bon Jovi where the reviewer was answering criticisms that the band sounded like theirs and other artists older classics on the new record- "If you want a record that sounds like no-one else, listen to Miles Davies' 'Bitches Brew'- for fans of enjoyable listening music this is fine."

While I think most of the tracks on Kind Of Blue outstay their welcome, they do at least have (apart from nice melodies) some structure that makes it bearable I would rather listen to Bitches Brew Extended Edition (if that exists) than listen to five songs by Bob Jovi. Hopefully I'll never have to make that choice... Edit: Bob Jovi... I dont know who that guy is, but I'm pretty sure I'd prefer him to Bon Jovi.

So they are playing a movie which I’m clearly not paying attention to, but apparently set in the Cold War a boy asks: “Is Russia going to attack us?”
Nah mate, but North Korea will.

Really hoping my friend (I'm staying with in D.C.) will be able to go to Liam's gig with me.. I'll send go and stay at her house but since I live there, I'd rather not have to go by myself. 🤞

Decided to not use Facebook except for a certain group (which turns 1 soon). No one gives us same sex violence victims a voice, no sir we have to suck it up.

No trouble mimmihopps thanks for sorting it- I wonder what programming or even human decision leads them to post hair loss or Viagra adverts on an Oasis forum, and how did they find L4E on that criteria in the first place?!

It's a spambot. We have Chinese spam bots quite often and although we always try to get rid of them, they come back. We'll pass this report to webm@ster. Once again apologize for these problems and thanks to all the members who support us by reporting these annoying spam posts/threads. Thank you everyone.
