May as well ask
Seeing as it’s been a good 10 years
Has anyone actually heard this ?
It’s probably the last thing in the vault that I’m curious about I came to oasis as a fan in 2005 And now I’m a fan in 2024 and cannot believe no one on YouTube has posted anything from this gig at all ?

Assuming Liam doesn't sound terrible on it this would be a brilliant bonus track on an eventual DBTT boxset.
I would lap up a DBTT 20th anniversary boxset next year. If All That You Can't Leave Behind got a 20th anniversary boxset then there's no reason why DBTT shouldn't get one.
There must easily be a disc or twos worth of interesting demos from the DBTT period.

It might've been harder to record because it was in the Astoria, but I'm confident it was recorded. It'd be nice to hear.

I was at the gig following this one (Edinburgh Usher Hall) and remember we'd read that Headshrinker was on the Astoria setlist so we were excited to hear it, but it was swapped out for Little By Little.
I'm not sure if that was a late decision, because it meant that it felt like Liam was going on and off stage a little more than normal (at one point he just came on to sing Meaning of Soul between Little By Little and Mucky Fingers), and they'd switched up the setlist again for the next gig in London, where that wasn't happening so much.
We met the band after that gig and Liam said he'd enjoyed it, but that they were "still a bit ropey".

I remember back in time, we on this forum went mad with the news that Headshrinker was played in Astoria. I'm certain that this gig was recorded.

I’m just so glad the DBTR performance was recorded and released because I didn’t think we’d ever hear Headshrinker done live again. I’m not holding out much hope for the Astoria gig.

Someone on here found this for me today - first Time I’ve seen anything from That night Not sure because of the quality of the video, but that doesn't look like the Astoria to me – it seems to have screens at the side of the stage which isn't right, also the video seems taken from too far away. The Astoria was a 2,000 capacity theatre.

I remember the excitement at the time when we heard they had played headshrinker, we’d not heard it in years!
Amazing that we are still talking about this lost performance in 2024!
I’ve not heard from fans who were at the gig come forward and talk about the gig
Sadly I think it is evident that there must have been an issue with the performance or Liam struggling with the vocal as to why it was never played again. Such a shame.

I’ve not heard from fans who were at the gig come forward and talk about the gig Sadly I think it is evident that there must have been an issue with the performance or Liam struggling with the vocal as to why it was never played again. Such a shame. I was at the gig. My memory is a bit hazy but I remember Liam messing up the lyrics of one of the verses or the band played the verse again when it was supposed to be the chorus. I remember I was confused when I was singing along and I distinctly recall that Liam and Andy exchanged looks as the band played on for a few seconds at one point without Liam singing. I saw them again at the Coronet a week or two after that and I wasn't surprised it was dropped as the band did not seem that tight playing it. There is brief footage of the 2005 Astoria gig on the Lord Don't Slow Me Down doc. I can see myself near the front barrier during a snippet of Morning Glory if I pause it at an exact frame. There's a bit where a drunk guy in the queue outside the venue before the gig sings Live Forever offkey. I was right behind that drunk guy but I am not in the footage which irked me at the time.
