Lehmann: 8/10--everything right Eboue: 10/10--fucking fantastic player Flamini: 7/10--did everything he needed to Senderos: 7/10--decent Toure: 7/10--decent Ljungberg: 8/10--v lively Reyes: 8/10--good performance Gilbero: 7/10--silent, but no mistakes Fabregas: 8/10--normal cesc Henry: 8/10 actually turned up today :-P
you forgot about Hleb, altho am I on my own in thinking he was fairly rubbish? Far too inconsistent, sometimes having a great turn, only to have it sandwiched in between a loose pass and being caught in possession
I thought Fabregas looked brilliant, one of the best performances I've seen him put in
Reyes paid to rest any fears I had of him not being fully fit and put in a blinding performance.
Still early days tho, it's only half time....etc etc etc.
But never doubt it, Arsene knows....... ;D
(And we know why we won...... it's because we didn't wear that bloody stupid maroon shirt!)
PS Becks had a cracking game too

ITV Bias was UNBELIEVABLE, the guy had his lad in his hand all night about Madrid and even though they were being mullered he came off with this...."the romantiscist in me would have liked it if the last European Opponents of Arsenal at Highbury were Real Madrid!!!"...are you serious, he is an English commentator hoping that Arsenal go out! what a DICK!, slap him now!...he also kept banging on about Real this Real that!, lets face it if Arsenal had have finished better the tie was so over it was untrue...4-0 would not have been unreasonable.
BTW Hleb played very well for an hour then got tired and was rightly replaced, Gilberto shut Zizou out of the entire match and Fabregas mocked Guti et al with such an assured performance for an 18year old, sheer class, and as for the goal Henry sheer joy to watch as he mocked four shell shocked Real players before burying the ball!!!...there is only one TH14!!!
Fucking GREAT RESULT. The only downside is that we should have scored more goals. 2 or 3-0 easy, we could have won that. Might come back to bite us.
Overall great performances from the lads. Fabregas was magnificent. I agree Feck, I thought Hleb was overall the worst player in the side, I wasn't sad to see him get replaced (though Le Bob could have given us another goal when he came on, why the fuck did he run on and shoot rather than square the ball??!). Flamini did well out of position, Becks got away from him a couple of times but all in all he was great. Eboue - top. Ljungberg - actually looked like he gave a shit. Reyes - fantastic. Lehmann - ace. Toure - brilliant. Senderos - one bad error but didn't cost us. Even Gilberto managed to not disgrace himself. Another masterful finish from Thierry, what more can you say about him, the man's a legend (I remain to be convinced about his captaining abilities, but that's another story...)
Overall it was magic. We fucking deserved it. Fuck Madrid, we made them look like a bunch of show-ponies.

YEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEES!!!!!!
what a game, WHAT A GAME!!!!!!
Once again our young and inexperienced defence stood strong....simply brilliant!!!!
Should have scored a hatful, thank god it didnt matter
We deserve to go through, we were the better team in both matches
taking nothing away from tonight, Real Madrid are has beens....lets hope we can do this against the bigger boys: Juve/Barca/AC Milan
but maybe we wont even have to??...i still would rather have Barca next bc not only would it be another amazing matchup, but if we win that we can truly say we deserve to win the CL
well done lads....
lets continue this great run of form into the PL too
could we be getting back to our best (for the 10th time in the last yr ha)?...time will tell
Thoroughly deserved the win over both legs. We were the better side. I remain worried by our scoring defecit (not counting the thumping of shit sides like Fulham), as we relaly should have got at least 2 last night: Reyes squandered a great chance, Pires too fucking daft to get some welly on the ball to carry it into an open goal!
Fabregas was again magnificent. Gilberto made a superb tackle worthy of Sol at his best. Lehmann - fucking hell, the guy has gone from being dodgy to worth his weight in gold. Get in, Jens. Hleb worked hard but for me he still isn't all the way there yet - loves running into situations where has no idea what to do next (and so loses ball) and also passing to the opposition. Thierry put in a good showing and was unlucky not to get a goal himself.
All in all we fucking bossed the tie and we're through on merit. As to how we'd perform against the likes of Barcelona or A.C. Milan..... well, that remains to be seen.
themasterplanet: A Northern Soul by The Verve! My second favourite album by them. I love the atmosphere of it, it’s very dreamy and melancholic and dark. It holds many memories for me and I think that’s partly responsible for why I love it so much.

AllOrNothing: Up in the Sky sounds like the La's on steroids, especially that Liam Falsetto that I can almost picture Lee Mavers singing with all his big teeth showing

Bring It On Dan: I have so much shit on an old hard drive somewhere but I just cannot find it. Nothing 'out there' but probably 200 gigs or so. I can't remember the name of the site that had all the gigs listed and sources for loads of gigs next to it? I remember RKID 003.

mimmihopps: Bring It On Dan, it must be sadsong.net. I don't know if the site still exists.
