The trailer for this docuseries was posted over the weekend. Hard to tell what to make of it -- seems like it may be more of an advertisement for Dua Lipa with some interviews mixed in.

What exactly is "Camden"? A town, a neighborhood in Manchester? I'm a pretty hardcore Oasis fan here in the U.S. and I don't think I've ever heard that location in Oasis lore...

Camden is a neighborhood in London, I believe. It is. Kind of has a bit of a hippy vibe but it is somewhere a lot of musicians are seen. Camden Roundhouse is a fairly big venue where a lot of artists have played (Oasis played there in that iTunes gig in 2009). Noel lived in Camden back in the day - Supernova Heights is in Camden. So is Hampstead Heath and other places that non-Brits might know of if they're into the Gallaghers.

Was going to watch it but I've just seen that it has that fucking bellwhiff, industry plant KUNT Yungblood in. Refuse to watch it now, so I will be missing out on some potentially interesting Oasis / Noel content here. Thanks a lot Yungblood you fucking talentless twat.

I stayed there a few times, and can't believe I was a stone throw away from Noely G's pad without knowing it... At the time we went to the Pembroke Castle and The World's End pubs several times, but never saw anyone famous

Camden is a little section of London that is know for a “gothy/emo” scene. People associated with it were Noel Fielding, Amy Winehouse, Russell Brand, The Libertines etc.. That kind of place
Wouldnt have put Noel in that scene tbh
Anyway, cool story. I was on the piss in the Barfly one night off my tits. Kept bumping into this guy, having a chat, pissing about with him. I kept saying to my mate, he’s from round by us somewhere, i know him. Turns out it was Noel Fielding 😂😂

I used to go there in the early 2000's alot as my mate had a studio flat just next to Koko's. I experienced a few nights out and also the numerous musicians trying to make it. It does have a great vibe.
I will always love Camden (and Kentish town)

Camden is a hellhole. I swear to Christ that a river of pink ooze runs underneath it as I've never come back from a night out there without feeling like killing everyone I see. So this documentary looks like the celluloid tombstone it deserves.

Episode 2 has Noel and the Libertines. Watched the first half hour this morning and it’s ok, there’s nothing new albeit there’s some decent backstage type footage briefly.
Feels like the sorta stuff Noel has discussed a million times tbh. Maybe doing someone a favour by appearing.
Bit more interesting segment on the Libertines. Turned it off when it seemed to be moving onto Yungblood whoever he is

Noel has said tons of times he was set on moving to London and to move to Camden particulary.

Noel and Liam bought houses less than 5 mins walk away.

Yeah Camden is fun (or was fun) for rare records, strolling along the river and going to gigs. The rest, meh. Surprised Noel is in that as i never thought of him being a pillar of Camden in the 90s (although he lived closed by), it was Blur's territory. There's two Camden though, the people who go there and people who have big houses there. Not the same thing. What exactly is "Camden"? A town, a neighborhood in Manchester? I'm a pretty hardcore Oasis fan here in the U.S. and I don't think I've ever heard that location in Oasis lore... It used to be the Disney World of british music. Old docks where you can feel what it was like to live in the old london : its filfthy, crowed and full of people who didnt wash for years with no teeth.

So yeah, dont subscribe just for that.

Speaking of streaming, apparently Noel is in the new Sir Alex doc. Think it’s called ‘99. Haven’t seen it but a buddy says he’s in there asking the crowd for another boo for Man United.
Edit: It’s on Amazon

Camden? It's the place the likes of Lily Allen and Pete Doherty went to pretend they are working class and raised on the streets.

Watched Episode 2 with Noel.
As others have said there's nothing to add to the Oasis story, but did laugh at Noel getting the fans outside Supernova Heights to fetch him groceries in exchange for an autograph!

I watched a couple of episodes. Noel is amusing as always. But I can't help but feel there is a big sense of hypocrisy about the whole thing. All of the artists in the doc talk about how Camden encourages people to just be whoever they want to be and be unique but actually being part of a trendy scene is one of the most conformist things you can do and isn't about being yourself but being part of something that everyone else is doing. Maybe I'm too old and missed the point.

Maybe I'm too old and missed the point. Agreed. Its a lie. Be part of the scene, make it, make millions. Then claim you shaped the scene. Its like in any other party or night out. No One his himself / herself. Its just a show. If you dont fit the scene, you dong exist. There are global trends in every era in the history of music, and some people fit in it. Few can claim they "invented it" or "influenced it". Usually, its one band per era, and the others are just adapting to it.
