John Squire "Liam had some great ideas for the arrangements of those songs. The ideas for the keyboard parts are also his. He was the one who insisted on this. He would pitch ideas to Greg and he would execute. Liam's ideas took the songs in a completely different direction than in the beginning. Raise Your Hands for example was initially relaxed like Mother's Nature Song but thanks to the ideas proposed by Liam the song changed its groove and became a great song. Liam says he only put the vocals on it but that's not the case. He put a lot of thought into the arrangements!" (Interview by Virgin Radio Italia)
As I suspected, Liam didn't just sing the songs but helped shape them. He's just too shy to say it personally.

I’m a Wheel is a tune! And that’s only after one listen.
Mother Nature Song is lovely, too. And You’re No the Only One.

Wow. I liked it a lot more than I thought I would. I didn’t think it would be poor but I didn’t have much expectation of it either. The first song, “raise your hands” is okay, doesn’t do much for me. I knew what kind of song “mars to Liverpool” was but I didn’t expect to like it as much as I did. Instant hit. “One day at a time” features the best line of the album (“you should have fucked me when you had the chance”) but “I’m a wheel” is like a proper Dr Feelgood bluesy riff rocker.
Same with “make it up as you go along” and “you’re not the only one.” Also liked how well “mother natures song” closed the album.
Even the songs I didn’t expect much out if due to their terrible titles (“love you forever”, “I’m bored”) were actually not bad at all. Can’t wait to listen again!!
Favourites: I’m a wheel Make it up as you go along You’re not the only one Mars to Liverpool

"You may select up to 10 answers." So far I've only selected Raise Your Hands, which is far and away my favorite. I'll need to give it a few more listens to decide on the others.

Just Another Rainbow Mars to Liverpool I'm a Wheel
The rest are just okay at this point.

I quite agree with the results but I can't understand how a song like "Love you Forever" is among the lowest ratings in this ranking. It's a better song than Make It Up As You Go Along and You're Not The Only One.

Mother Nature Song, Make It Up and Mars to Liverpool because they remind me of bands like Big Star or Fountains of Wayne. Bands that can put a smile on your face, with apparently simple but still smart melodies. That's priceless. Not many artist can do that.
But i really like the heavier stuff like Just another Rainbow or I'm a Wheel.
There's really not a "bad" song on this record, but there is a few fillers.

All of them except the two singles and Mother Nature Song as I just don't think that they're as good as anything else on the album.

one day at a time isn’t the best song on album but cmon - give it more love. play 2:30-3:00 over a few times on good speakers and then vote for it.
or you will just realize a year out i was right

Just Another Rainbow I'm a Wheel Love You Forever
Very rare for my favorite songs to be bunched up on an album like that...it's awesome!

Pretty correct results so far in my opinion. I can get behind that. Best to worst ranked (according to you all):
1. Mars to Liverpool 2. I’m a wheel 3. You’re not the only one 4. Raise your hands 5. Just another rainbow 6. Mother Nature’s song 7. I’m so bored 8. Love you forever 9. Make it up as you go along 10. One day at a time

Love You Forever it's one of my absolute favorites.Currently it's the one I listen to very often. It makes you feel like you're on meth and the chorus plays over and over in my head. Liam's scratchy vocals on the chorus are pure ecstasy. My favorite line is when Liam sings "Till the last clock stops And the skyscrapers fall Why give a little When can you give it all?" I love the way Liam does it and it brings me back to some moments from Scorpio Rising.

Don't mind Raise Your Hands and Mars to Liverpool, though they're bang average at absolute best.
The rest are absolutely diabolical.

I guess they are done with the singles for this album Been hearing Raise Your Hands a good few tunes lately, so it seems to still be making an impact. I don’t think they’ll be another single though. No point for us especially with no b-sides.
