So in order to hear DM songs, I buy a "DM Tour" ticket, and in order to hear just 10 new songs + a cover from LG/JS, I buy a LG/JS ticket....so which ticket do I buy to hear Champagne Supernova and Wonderwall? I would suppose the DM tour, that would be my safer bet, with neither as second option. Hard to see him not play at least one of those songs during the DM tour...but it still isn't a sure thing.

I’m fascinated to how they are going to fill their gig time up. 10 tracks plus 1 cover is very skimpy and I don’t care how many extended solo jams Squire does. Thats a lot of time to make up.

Maybe they are not gonna. Liam repeatedly said, before tickets went on sale too, that it’s gonna be the album tracks+cover, so short gigs. Considering that they are new band with one album out, what else they suppose to do? Honest question. Add more covers maybe, but I saw many complaints about unnecessary covers before, so it wouldn’t satisfy people too

Last time Liam tour US his gigs barely lasted an hour. Was a lot of people complaining about it online at the time. So may well be the same. Saying that it a one off gig at the moment so you'd think they would want to make it worthwhile. Still doesn't make sense to me that they are going to States for a single gig, must be other things planned that just haven't been announced yet.

break in between songs will add 5 mins - 45 mins

IMO they could at least do 3 covers. Beef it up a bit
Still contemplating not going to Wolverhampton because of the time tbh

Extended guitar jams = bathroom breaks
No but seriously, they should promise at least a couple Oasis and Stone Roses songs. I get it - We want this to stand alone, but that would get ticket sales really booming and even probably allow them to do more US dates.

I'll watch them play Humpty Dumpty to get a longer show

She Said She Said Citadel Are You Experienced? An Oasis cover, a Stone Roses cover and "something else" like a Beatles, Stones or Hendrix cover.

What covers would be want or expect them to maybe attempt? She Said She Said Never thought of that as an obvious choice but it would suit Liam's voice. I'd be thrilled to hear them cover that.

This is something different

Some of the best gigs I've ever seen were bands with just 40 mins material- the Strokes on their debut album tour were perfect.

ALL of the best gigs i've ever seen were like that!
The Beatles never played a gig longer than 30 mins (apart from hamburg).

John and Liam played Champagne Supernova already, I wouldn't be suprised if they did it again. Or I Am the Walrus?

There are exceptions. The tape of the Roxburgh gig that surfaced last year runs to 58 minutes and it's thought there were two more songs in the setlist that the tape didn't capture. That was April 1963 - four months after their final Hamburg gigs. Many of the early local gigs in the Cavern and local dance halls would have been much longer than 30 minutes but I guess we all tend to lump that in as part of the "Hamburg era".

the roundhouse gigs that could have happened late 60s would have been interesting length-wise - they wouldn't have got away with half hour by then.

Roll on Berlin, great venue to see them! Right now I'm really curious for the Barrowlands setlist. For what the cover(s) will be and at which point 'Make It Up..' is gonna be played, just for already planning the pee break.
