Liam is very relevant and popular among young people in the UK. And yes, people like Eric Clapton, Rod Stewart and basically any other rock musicians from Liam's time and before Liam's time are not hip with the youngsters, but Liam has basically achieved what no one else has and still has a big impact on British youth culture. I dont think he is that relevant to be honest. Sure some young people will get into his music and Oasis but I don't think large amounts of teenagers are really that invested in Liam Gallagher in 2023, not enough for any kind of impact. Then we can just agree to disagree. It says a lot that they already booked Liam to headline Reading & Leeds again after just having headlined a few years ago and he also headlined Boardmasters last year (both festivals have very young people as their target audience). Sometimes I feel like people on this forum underrate Liam's status which is surprising since we're supposed to be his fans here, right? Because I think it's otherwise pretty much acknowledged how popular Liam is among the new generation and even casuals on other music forums say all the time how huge Liam is with teens (when discussing R&L for example)

It's all a matter of perception. I'm not in England so i cant say, but he's done massive gigs so he must be popular there.
Someone famous now is famous how ? Famous used to mean being chased in the street and not being able to get out and making the headlines on TV and radio, or newspaper. Now it's being famous in likes, tweets and streams. So I guess Liam is famous amongst the young. The Age of the "star" doesn't matter much anymore. You can be a tik tok star at 80 tomorrow.... Probably most of his fans dont know he's over 50. He's just Liam Gallagher.

But these some people who criticize the song or the fact that Liam lists the colors of the rainbow, are the same ones who praised Noel's solo debut when he presented as his first single the sensational plagiarism of "Je so Pazzo" by Pino Daniele, with embarrassing lyrics like "I'm watching my TV, Or is it watching me?" ? I bet these same people also commented with the word "Masterpiece", the tons of meaningless whining that Noel has been trying to sell to people for 10 years... I can assure you, that's not me. Sometimes lyrics can be embarrassingly awful. It's not always an agenda.

Wouldn’t Gallagher and Squire be a better album title? No, this way can Liam pretend its John Lennon.

Not really sure what some of you expected from a Liam and Squire collaboration? This is EXACTLY how I imagined it would sound. Quick look around social media tells me it's gone down very well also.

All of this is pretty insane if you ask me. Liam Gallagher has a well established career and tries something odd, risky. I'm surprised (pleasantly).
Is that under the new contract with Warner ?

When you play it with really good headphones or earbuds it is absolutely fantastic. Oh, here we go. I was waiting for this comment 😁 Famous good headphones argument 😅 Now we are waiting for someone to say if you listen this song 4229539210 times, it will grow on you 🤣 Really good headphones, really good drugs, listen Justen Another Rainbow while getting a blowjob by 5 girls for 10 hours, play it 47829174 times and tomorrow you will wake up singing Just Another Rainbow in your head and you'll love it. The only thing is, you can do that with every song in the world and you'll start to like that song.

I think the tune is solid. Great vocals from Liam, cool, druggy guitar tone from John, and the solo isn't overindulgent like his others in the past. Worst thing about the track is the awful mastering. Hopefully there's an Atmos mix or something.

All you really need to do to prove this statement wrong is a) look where WTSMG and Time Flies came in the best-selling albums list of 2023 and b) go to one of his gigs

Find the verses and chorus a bit ropey tbh, not feeling it.
Good melody and guitar solo though.

It sounds fantastic with quality buds. I never said it's bad with average buds but quality audio does make a big difference on the details...

This has a grown on me It's probably because it ain't a commercial pop tune
For the first time in years Liam is singing something that doesn't feel generic and it's more in his style this is the way
p.s. i'm pretty sure this will be a huge singalong moment live

It's not bad IMO but doesn't do much for me... I really glad Liam is working with a decent and creative guitarrist, the solo is great and different from anything in Oasis which is a breath of fresh air...
But the song, overall, is a bit weak i guess. I kind of miss a chorus there. The Beatles' beat is welcome, we've seen it in Better Days, All In The Mind and A Bell Will Ring but I wouldn't put it as a first single.
Regarding the whole colours thing, yeah it's a bit cringy, but not even close as cringe as the cool/school/pool rhyme in Once which was forgotten pretty fast

Not really sure what some of you expected from a Liam and Squire collaboration?. Better lyrics Some of the lyrics are awful but John Squire isn't a good lyricist and, a couple of standouts aside, Liam definitely isn't either. So while some of it is disappointing it's kind of what I expected lyric wise.

... “Sang them for the first time out in America in LA. [The album] It hasn’t got a title as such. It’s just Liam and John, like Liam Gallagher and John Squire, really.” So the rumours that the album is now called "Will There Ever Be A Rainbow?" are false?

I see that Mike Spike Stent has mixed the song so I guess he's mixed the new album too.
