I saw this days ago and wrote it off as propaganda because the idea seemed too over the top to believe. Turns out, it's 100% legit. This happened. WTF. Utterly deranged. I've never seen such a demented and maniacal group of people with my own eyes. I once thought this kind of thing was consigned to the history books, I guess not.

This is a reasonable request. If Israel does not agree, it's because they do not want peace.

The audacity to say that this will be 'limited'. Fucking disgraceful They will say anything to achieve Greater Israel. They know that the U.N no longer has any power. They know the worlds leading superpower will do little more than wag their finger at Israel's actions.
I am so disappointed in my country or specifically, its politicians. Only a handful have a moral spine.

Same here. Endless "peaceful" talk around the table by EU and NATO doesn't save any single life. I didn't think that Israel would be so killer monster and I and we were all naive.

You wishy-washy oh so principled liberals seem very eager to forget the crimes and acts of terror that the more backward looking Islamic states have inflicted on - not just their own region - but also the West and our civilians. I’m yet to turn my TV on and see terror wielded on the streets of European cities by a Jewish terror cell.
But no doubt you’ll keep valuing your right to virtue signal over Israel having to manage with these despots and tinpot tyrants right there on their doorstep.
I think Mr Netanyahu is an incredible leader and is doing a splendid job.

Since when did speaking out against the mass slaughter of an Arab population that's been persecuted and subject to colonisation (by the British as well as Israel, I might add) constitute forgetting about the acts of terror committed by Muslims in the west? Simply put - I am against mass murder in all its forms. I do not care about the ethnicity of the perpetrator. Over 40 thousand Palestinians have paid the ultimate price for something that they did NOT do, and that's not even mentioning the ghastly amounts of injured and displaced people. According to the United Nations Population Fund, as of 2024, 38.1% of the Palestinian population are between 15-19 years of age and 61.9% are aged between 20-29. The median age in Palestine is 19.9 years old. Hamas, a resistance movement against over 7 decades of Israeli occupation and oppression, were elected into power in 2006, years before the statistical majority of the Palestinian population would've been old enough to vote in the first place (or even alive, for that matter). Almost 16.5k children are dead in Palestine alone, never mind in Lebanon and Yemen. I cannot excuse that. Israel has also deployed the Hannibal Directive, as reported by Haaretz themselves, meaning that Israel itself has knowingly carried out the killing of its own citizens, not to mention the fact that it has turned down a deal to release the remaining Israeli hostages on multiple occasions. You can scream 'bring them home' all you want, but it becomes hot air when you actively refuse to accept deals to end fighting and get them released. Lastly, of course I don't condone atrocities committed by Arabs in the west. I would be a maniac if I did, but two wrongs do not make a right. I simply cannot look at the mass slaughter of innocent people as merely collateral damage when the civilian casualties outnumber militant deaths by around 41 thousand people. The killing has to stop.

Also worth mentioning for walterglass that The Lancet, a well-established and long respected journal said a month or two ago that the conservative estimate for total civilian deaths in Gaza was around 180,000. Certainly more since. How many civilian deaths is too much? Don't you think a 90% civilian casualty rate is indicative of civilian targeting?

I think there's an irony in accusing leftists of being dreamers while insisting that Israel, a 100-year attempt to colonise Arabic land into an even more depressing version of Florida, should be treated as anything but an unrealistic pipe-dream which could only ever survive due to imperial backing and which has no potential to lead to anything but division and injustice. Of course, there have always been legitimate reasons for migration away from anti-semitism in Europe, but the plan of doing so by purposely colonising an inhabited land so that white Europeans can cosplay the Old Testament has never been anything but an ill-thought-out pie-in-the-sky.
That's not some new assessment of the region, by the way; it's exactly what America thought when the Zionists appealed to them for military backing to colonise the land in the 1920's. The Americans saw the endless loop of violence which such a project would create, declined the offer, and the Zionists went to Britain instead. Why did Britain agree? Material reasons, of course, but also the fact that they thought "Israel" would be a convenient place to shoo the unwanted Jews at home. Western action in the region has never been squeaky-clean.
Leftists are the ones addressing the hard-headed facts of the situation; Israel is a settler-colonial fantasy imprinted on a post-colonial world. And after all, if "the West" cannot live happily without the proxy-power of a apartheid ethno-state in Arabia, then perhaps we ought to rethink our relationship with the Middle East and the economic models which necessitate our constantly destructive interference there.
(P.S. Netanyahu and Winston Churchill are two great examples of war criminals. I pray that the Zionist leaders behind the constant slaughters of the Palestinian civilians face justice at the Hague, as should the Hamas and Hezbollah leaders who have acted out murder against civilians, such as in the current missile attacks on Tel Aviv. I pray that the West can act for once as a pacifying force, and that a common-sense approach to the region can finally liberate Palestine from colonisation. Hope is a dangerous thing for a woman like me to have - but I have it.)

Thank you for saying everything that I didn't have the vocabulary to say myself! This is also a very interesting read: www.aa.com.tr/en/middle-east/we-are-crying-with-palestinians-jewish-anti-zionist-group/3038245#Some of the most notable quotes, coming from Rabbi Yisroel Dovid, include: 'In our religion, killing and stealing are clearly forbidden. (Israel), on the other hand, establishes its state by taking it from the Arabs. That's why we are crying with the Palestinians' 'Zionism is the ideology of the state of Israel, which tries to present itself as the Jewish state. They claim that they represent Jewish religion, they claim that they are speaking in the name of God. They claim that they are the voice around the world of Jewish people that have an attachment with God or the Torah. That’s not true' 'Judaism and Zionism are as different from each other as the earth and the sky; they contradict each other. Judaism is about submitting to Almighty God, while Zionism is the name for extreme nationalism that aims to possess everything related to forming a nation' 'To declare the existence of a Jewish state is direct rebellion against God. This is because we are in an exile that we were sent to by God. We will remain in that exile until a metaphysical change occurs, where all of humanity will serve God in harmony' It is very, very hard to make a case for the legitimacy of the state of Israel when literal Rabbis are speaking out against it.

I want to add, as a fairly radical leftist myself, that supporting a people that is subject to an objective state of colonisation is the only rational thing to do when one considers oneself a "materialist" and is the only stance acceptable for anyone to the left of liberal capitalist politics.
Yes, the Palestinian people put power in the hands of religious radicals. Yes, Hamas is probably not the "right" religion for many people in the West. However, moral, religious or even political grounds cannot be the base from which we decide who's being genocided and colonised.
When the war in Ukraine started, Russia tried to depict the Ukrainian as neo-nazis. There are of course numerous far-right extremists within their ranks, but this can't make us dismiss the fact that they were invaded as a sovereign state by an imperialist state and thus are those who are attacked.
Supporting the genocidal supremacist state of Israel because Palestinians could possibly be involved in islamist terrorism in the West in the future and because Israel better aligns with Western interest is quietly saying that we should absolutely exterminate people because they don't share our values.
