If any of you guys use this forum, then come on over and wind some people up with me
There's a couple of very good Oasis threads on here (as I'm sure a lot of you already know, but in case there's some that don't)

Not a lot of love for Oasis in that thread...
Sounds like many of the posters had never actually listened to an Oasis album, let alone a b-side, so aren't really that well versed to make a fair judgement.

Standard ignorance at play there. Like the person above me stated, it’s pretty obvious those people have either never heard Oasis or only know Wonderwall. I’ve come across this with 99% of “music fans” in the states. Even those who are genuine fans of rock/alternative know almost nothing about Oasis and think they’re a soft rock band.

I'd let those music experts to think what they want. It doesn't really make a difference. If they don't get Oasis, it's their loss.

The forum looks a load of crap to me, so I certainly won't be joining.

It's a good forum with plenty of excellent insight, but it's full of music snobs. That's why I never joined.

The forum looks a load of crap to me, so I certainly won't be joining. The forum itself is actually really good (not to say that every thread is great!) I've learned tons about Bob Dylan over there (despite being a huge fan myself for many years)
Coincidentally or not, that thread I posted has certainly got some vigorous debate now. For the most part, it comes down to the fact that most American posters don't appreciate how huge Oasis were in the UK.
Two other interesting/fun threads
some interesting stuff for sound quality nerds like me
takes a chronological look at pretty much every song released by Oasis, with some great discussion along the way.

Steve Hoffman forum users suffer from "I Am the Main Character" syndrome.
They probably hate Oasis simply because they de facto kicked off the CD loudness wars.

There's a lot of love for Oasis there too tbf. I have also been given some nice personal remasters (Bob and Oasis) by fellow forum members there.
Anyhow ... if nothing else, it's just a bit of fun to distract from WWIII

The legendary davidjay posted articles from Steve Hoffman forum a couple of times in the past. Although I've never been to that forum myself, I take David shared interesting articles with us. PS: Hope you're doing well, David! It's a good forum with plenty of excellent insight, but it's full of music snobs. That's why I never joined. The people on Steve Hoffman forum probably are saying about this forum has a plenty of amatures. I couldn't be careless.
