After Whitey's departure, Terry Kirkbride was involved with both Oasis and NG yet he was never in any of the bands. Do we know why? He does play on loads of songs from the DBTT era, played with Noel and Gem multiple times in the last 17 years, recorded with Noel and AA. Is he a session drummer by choice or was there another reason I never heard of?

As far as I know and to the best of my remembrance I think I've read a comment by Noel that Terry's got some sort of "public anxiety" and wouldn't want to go on tour for a longer period of time. Don't quote me on that. But he definitely had been considered to replace Alan White in 2003. On a side note, I love his style of drumming. Shuffling and loose like Whitey but also with a clear direction what a song needs. The drums on the Shoot a Hole Into the Sun remix and Mucky Fingers come to my mind.

Yeah, also remember Noel saying something about his private life? like he is not reliable or something.

Coincidentally he sat behind the drumkit during the desparetely sought after unreleased DIV and AA sessions. That kind of makes him a holy grail as well, I guess

Great drummer with a subtle style, by the way.
