But with all the beautiful concerts they've done, why publish something seen and revised for years and what's more, a bad period for the band? I will never understand

I will never understand Familiar To Millions would like a word….. Familiar to millions is a masterpiece. Innovative sound compared to the past, Liam's mature and intense voice. Fabulous audience. Superb location. That concert had a sense and its own character.

Superb location. That concert had a sense and its own character. That summer tour was full of shit times and bad vibes. Noel quit Euro touring for several weeks and Liam was a train wreck for so much of that Wembley experience. Everyone thought they’d break up after their last festival appearance that August. In the winter of 2000, I’d have released Maine Road or Knebworth over this show. Peak of their powers. Classic lineup. Glory years.

Superb location. That concert had a sense and its own character. Cigarettes and Alcohol is so massive here, the build up with the instrumental to just Liam shaking the tambourine all leading to Noels pov while kicking off with the riff and the outro is fantastic as well. The camera work on Familiar to Millions is underrated I think, a fun show all round.

I like the Familiar To Millions gig but it's certainly not their best especially as the Leeds Festival one is better. However, on the Standing On The Edge Of The Noise concert it's ok I guess but and it's certainly not one of my favourites. And, Apple could've released something much better than that.

I remember this well, it was the competition winner gig. We had some feedback on this forum from a few members who won the contest to be there, they sat in a room and had DOYS played to them in full before an intimate warm-up gig. The consensus was that DOYS was okay but live Oasis were great and Liam sounded amazing. He did sound good to be fair and I'm still hoping the unreleased songs from this gig like Morning Glory surface one day.

If you look at the overall officially released* live albums, then we now have a pretty good overview of the band's trajectory, missing only a 1997 show. Metro '94 (*not official to my knowledge, but it's as good as) Knebworth '96 Familiar to Millions '00 Glasgow '01 Manchester '05 Standing on the Edge of The Noise '08 iTunes festival '09 We also have bits and pieces from '95/'96 on "There and Then" of course. Be nice to get a full-on release from Manchester '95 or a box like The Jam's fantastic Fire and Skill set. (Bob Dylan have been waiting for a live album since 1993 ... he's played a couple of concerts since then )

I like that gig alot but personally think the Sheffeild arena gig should have been the one to be released. Liam's voice is stronger, it is their first arena show you have the special first performance of "Don't Look Back in Anger". Guess they just picked Southend because of the pun. I agree with others with Finsbury Park, but really I would prefer as much as possible from 1995 because that was the best year.
