This is awesome, one of the tracks is an acoustic version of Slide Away with Liam on vocals, could be a studio mix or a soundboard off the virgin megastore, either way this all seems encouraging

Noel - “In the Sony archives we’ve found tapes dating to those sessions. We thought they were lost, but they were mislabelled. They are wonderful versions of those songs, some acoustic versions.”
I'm not getting too excited yet - "Sony Archives" could very well just be spin for "circulating bootlegs".
But fingers crossed that it is true they have managed to access the original studio session tapes as the Chasing The Sun reissues obviously did not.

Since i read the italian newspaper im happy and curious of that versions, sound really interesting and I hope its not the versions its been around over the years.
We deserve something better than the 2014 version

I definitely don't want to have to buy the studio album again. Just give us a CD full of alternative takes and acoustic versions. Lovely.

Literally can't wait for the 5th or 6th Limited Anniversary Edition of Definitely Maybe and hear Supersonic Take #7 and Noel doing a instrumental acoustic version of Live Forever after 2 days on the piss at a tour rehearsal /irony
Loved those Time Flies Box Sets but that's it for me with those albums - that Be He Here Now Box was peak.
But instead of finally starting something like a Vault Series as so many other big bands with like 1-2 releases a year from all the stuff they are sitting on (audio/video) we have Noel and his company throwing this stuff at us every 5 years.

The trouble is we might already have some of those acoustic versions of the songs on bootlegs. So I'm hoping that it'll be something different than what we've already got. |

This reissue needs high quality studio cuts of Coming On Strong, Lock All The Doors, I Am The Walrus and Liam sung Sad Song for starters. We also need the original mix of the LP and a bag of coke from 1993.

After the sawmills sessions leaked, there's literally nothing left in the vault worth dropping hundreds of dollars/pounds/euros for the 15,000th or something reissue of this album. Maybe full remastered recordings of the boardwalk performances, the King's Tuts performance in full? What else is out there from this era that justifies another "super deluxe" release?
