As far as personal enjoyment it's around a 6, but it goes up to an 8 because I love it when Noel actually puts his heart into things and this is all heart, great orchestration, just wish it was richer lyrically maybe but it's honest and that's better than anything else in art for me

I hate the falsetto in the chorus it could have been a 9/10 song That's my favourite part, funny how people's taste can differ so much!

Just had a listen while thinking of all of the breakups I had in life, either from romantic relationships or not, and man did it hit hard. Wow. Such connection – The Universal Truth, huh? As Noel himself likes to say.
Also, saw someone on the YT comments say it reminded them of Nick Drake and oh my god yes. Nick's one of my all time favourites, and the vocal melody (especially in the verses) is definitely reminiscent of his work. I'm absolutely loving this song right now.

Beady votes 7 on first listen.
Like everything, Beady will be screaming 10 at some point. 😆

In the scheme of Noel songs post WTSMG, it's an 8 or 9 for me. Beautiful tune!

More than a 10 if that was possible

Beautiful beautiful song. I don't think it fits as track #3. Sounds more as closing song. Something like Let There be Love... Yep, you're right. Yeah. Or Stop the clocks. The song is growing on me. But I'd rather not to hear so many good things about any song. Noel, Jo Whiley, etc. put the bar too high. Anyway, admit we'll never receive any song as we did in the 90s - early 00s. We've changed and, specially, the context has changed.

It's... really nice. Considering the first two tracks, obviously a step up, but the melody is just oookay.
I'd say a 7/10. will probably grow, but it's an instant pleasure to listen to, unlike the first two singles.
Mixed feelings really.

I've gone from 5 to 6. Brilliant tune and atmosphere. I'm loving the Parachutesque bass line! And those vocals! Make it alriiiiiight! 😍
It needs strings or a guitar for the solo though, and shit loads of reverb and echo to the "sleeping" line. Sleeping... ping... ping... ping....

I think it's a great song, and he also took the time to find the right arrangement and production, something he does not always do. Well done I am giving it 9/10 now. Of course, experience says that in 4 years it will be a 8 or even a 7, but let's live the moment

When rating songs I usually start with a lower score and then upgrade it as a I get more fond of it. But this is a 9/10. Haunting, beautiful, inspired and perfectly delivered. So proud to be a Noel Gallagher fan at this moment.

A strong 8 for me. Definitely a stand out song in his repertory, feels different from most of his work.

I'm trying to be moderated but this song definitely deserves a 10. It's been a long time since that last one I felt something like DTTW did to me, talking about Noel releases.
This song is up there with his best solo material.

I don't give 10's easily, but this is an 11/10.

7/10
If I hadn't heard WBTM and the ep tracks I would've rated it higher. It is nice, but it feels like retcon and safe. Maybe it'll be rated higher in context of the album

Song is great, but the vocal performance by Noel is top notch in this one too.

9. Such a brilliant song. Feel sorry for the people who can't enjoy this, it's right up there.

It's one of these inmortal melodies you think: there is no way nobody has written this before (and of course, Noel being Noel, maybe someone has written this before)

this sing is really good, at the moment I can't give more than 8 because I recognize its charm but something is missing that makes it rise. Term to describe it: CREPUSCULAR

I actually can't remember liking a new Noel song as much as I like this one. The last string of choruses are beautiful and then the chord and vocal changes in the 'make it alright' outro part. He really is a songwriting genius.

7/10 for me. Nice enough, but it hasn't really grabbed me after a couple of listens.
